The Anointing for Breakthrough Started with Jesus – by Minister Sherline —

Hello Everybody! 😀

My message from this past Friday is also posted on my church’s website via The Anointing for Breakthrough Started with Jesus – by Minister Sherline . I’m on day 6 of the 7 day Fast and I give God praise.

On April 6, 2016, marked the 2 year anniversary since my Pastors and I and my sister started the church. We give God all the honor and all the praise. It has been challenging but I’m so happy to see people desiring to seek God more in our church that we’ve been getting so many people contacting us across the globe and in other cities that want to connect. I believe that God wants to equip His Church for the greater call in people’s lives, but everything starts with the foundation of your belief system. Many churches have clogged up the foundation to suit their own agendas, but we must advance the agenda of Christ in order to see His Word become manifest in a generation that needs to know, Jesus came for all people, and not just some, but all people to live a purpose driven life, Amen! 😀

The Power of the Anointing for Breakthrough is already in you. The word “Christ” (in Greek khristos) means “the Anointed One”. If you have Christ in you the hope of glory that means that the anointing is already in you through the power of the Holy Spirit.

The question is, is it operating inside of you?

Are you tapping into what is already inside of you if you are a believer?

The Anointing God puts on you cannot be taken away, it is generational.

Exodus 40:15

You shall anoint them, as you anointed their father, that they may minister to Me as priests; for their anointing shall surely be an everlasting priesthood throughout their generations.”

The Anointing for breakthrough started with Jesus

Jesus had first fasted for 40 days in the desert while being challenged by Satan before releasing this Word found in Luke 4.

Jesus-teaching

Luke 4:16-30 – Jesus Rejected at Nazareth

16 So He came to Nazareth, where He had been brought up. And as His custom was, He went into the synagogue on the Sabbath day, and stood up to read. 17 And He was handed the book of the prophet Isaiah. And when He had opened the book, He found the place where it was written:

18 “The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me,
Because He has anointed Me
To preach the gospel to the poor;
He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted,[j]
To proclaim liberty to the captives
And recovery of sight to the blind,
To set at liberty those who are oppressed;
19 To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord.”[k]

20 Then He closed the book, and gave it back to the attendant and sat down. And the eyes of all who were in the synagogue were fixed on Him.21 And He began to say to them, “Today this Scripture is fulfilled in your hearing.” 22 So all bore witness to Him, and marveled at the gracious words which proceeded out of His mouth. And they said, “Is this not Joseph’s son?”

23 He said to them, “You will surely say this proverb to Me, ‘Physician, heal yourself! Whatever we have heard done in Capernaum,[l] do also here in Your country.’” 24 Then He said, “Assuredly, I say to you, no prophet is accepted in his own country. 25 But I tell you truly, many widows were in Israel in the days of Elijah, when the heaven was shut up three years and six months, and there was a great famine throughout all the land; 26 but to none of them was Elijah sent except to Zarephath,[m] in the region of Sidon, to a woman who was a widow. 27 And many lepers were in Israel in the time of Elisha the prophet, and none of them was cleansed except Naaman the Syrian.”

28 So all those in the synagogue, when they heard these things, were filled with wrath, 29 and rose up and thrust Him out of the city; and they led Him to the brow of the hill on which their city was built, that they might throw Him down over the cliff. 30 Then passing through the midst of them, He went His way.

The Anointing on Jesus is the same anointing we need to tap into as Christians in order to operate in a realm of perpetual breakthroughs.

First the anointing Jesus speaks of comes from the Holy Spirit (Verse 18). The Holy Spirit provides the power that backs the anointing for you to be able to do the following:

  1. To preach the gospel to the poor: It brings good news to the Poor (poverty in spirit, poverty in finance, poverty in relationship, in fact all areas of Poverty).

  2. He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted: It has the power to heal what was broken in your heart because everything you do in your life is a reflection of what is in your heart. Out of the abundance of the heart your mouth speaks.

  3. To proclaim liberty to the captives:  It breaks bondages to those bound to sin in any area (spiritually and physically). Because the Holy Spirit provides the power that backs the anointing, you need to understand that you need to tap into the spiritual realm to move what cannot be moved in the natural realm. This can be done by prayer and fasting and meditating on God’s Word. Every breakthrough you require for God to intervene is only found through the power of the Holy Spirit. If you don’t tap into the Spirit, you will operate in a realm of mediocrity as you strive by might and power. Learn to humble yourself and go before God to whom is your source of breakthrough.

  4. And recovery of sight to the blind, – Jesus doesn’t just restore physical vision, he restores your spiritual sight to see into the spirit, He restores your vision so that you are able to see yourself in the way that God sees you and He also restores the overall vision you require in order for you to be successful in your life.  In order to be successful, you require Revelation.

What is Revelation? The dictionary defines it as:

  1. the act of revealing or disclosing; disclosure.
  2. something revealed or disclosed, especially a striking disclosure, as of something not before realized.
  3. Theology.

God’s disclosure of Himself and His will to His creatures; an instance of such communication or disclosure; something thus communicated or disclosed; something that contains such disclosure, as the Bible.

In the KJV it says in Proverbs 29:18 – Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.

The NKJV version says: Where there is no revelation the people cast off restraint; But happy is he who keeps the law.

Vision brings you revelation, however, you are required to keep the law which is contained in God’s word; meaning that you must follow God’s Word. It is not enough to be a hearer of it when you don’t do what it says. You don’t want to be a Revelation Short of a Breakthrough.

Vision allows you to see what you couldn’t see before and it brings about direction towards your elevation.

When God gives you a revelation, he reveals to you what was hidden so that you are guided in the right direction.

You need Revelation for ELEVATION.

How can you follow the Lord’s direction when you cannot see?

That is why it is important to meditate on God’s Word so that you are provided clear direction as to where you ought to go, rather than follow another man’s revelation of where they think you should go. You have to learn to see God by following His Word. That’s why there is emphasis to meditate on His Word day and night so that it does not depart from your mouth. The more you meditate, the more you can see clearly and hear clearly. If you don’t meditate on His Word, you will follow a false direction and will end up misguided into the wrong direction and that is why God’s people keep perishing, because they don’t keep God’s word. They don’t meditate on it and therefore, they run in the dark and find themselves lost and directionless. It is important to keep your eyes fixed on Jesus if you want to maintain the vision that He has for your life which is in:

Jeremiah 29:11 – For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

  • To set at liberty those who are oppressed; The anointing is so powerful that it gives you the ability to deliver people from oppression whether it is demonically inspired (demonization) or legally inspired (through the laws of men) to oppress people into slavery/torture of different sorts (i.e. human trafficking/ war etc). God has given us authority to challenge and defeat the oppressors in order to set captives free.

  • To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord.” The anointing also prophesies what the Lord will do in every year. When you proclaim, you are declaring what it is that you want to see. The anointing gives you the power to call forth those things that be not as though they were. You can call your breakthroughs into being by proclaiming by faith what it is that you want to see happen in your year. The thing is, whatever you proclaim requires you to partner with the Holy Spirit in order to see your breakthrough.

Romans 4:17  As it is written: “I have made you a father of many nations.” He is our father in the sight of God, in whom he believed—the God who gives life to the dead and calls into being things that were not.

The Power of the Anointing:

  • Confounds the wise and the mighty (Luke 4:22). People will not know why God has put such an anointing on your life, but God is willing to use a willing vessel to do great and mighty works. Look at David as an example.

1 Corinthians 1:27 (NKJV)  But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things which are mighty;

  • The Anointing locates the least likely for increase (Luke 4:25-26). There were many widows in Israel and yet the prophet Elijah during the time of the great famine/drought that lasted 3 years 6 months visited the widow who fed him the last morsel she had for herself and her son. The oil in her pots brought increase in a time of famine/lack.

1 Kings 17:8-16 Elijah and the Widow

Then the word of the Lord came to him, saying, “Arise, go to Zarephath, which belongs to Sidon, and dwell there. See, I have commanded a widow there to provide for you.” 10 So he arose and went to Zarephath. And when he came to the gate of the city, indeed a widow was there gathering sticks. And he called to her and said, “Please bring me a little water in a cup, that I may drink.” 11 And as she was going to get it, he called to her and said, “Please bring me a morsel of bread in your hand.”

12 So she said, “As the Lord your God lives, I do not have bread, only a handful of flour in a bin, and a little oil in a jar; and see, I am gathering a couple of sticks that I may go in and prepare it for myself and my son, that we may eat it, and die.”

eikon_1132_13 And Elijah said to her, “Do not fear; go and do as you have said, but make me a small cake from it first, and bring it to me; and afterward make some for yourself and your son. 14 For thus says the Lord God of Israel: ‘The bin of flour shall not be used up, nor shall the jar of oil run dry, until the day the Lord sends rain on the earth.’”

15 So she went away and did according to the word of Elijah; and she and he and her household ate for many days. 16 The bin of flour was not used up, nor did the jar of oil run dry, according to the word of the Lord which He spoke by Elijah.

  • The Anointing does not discriminate, it locates willing vessels to receive breakthrough (Luke 4:27). The same applies to Naaman in 2 Kings 5: 1-19 who was a great and honorable Commander who the Lord had given him victory to the Syrian army that he served as commander, was also struck by leprosy. However when he listened to the prophet Elisha from the enemies camp (the Children of Israel) he was healed. It just goes to show that the anointing can even heal the least likely to believe in the God you serve.

2 Kings 5: 1-19 – Naaman’s Leprosy Healed

Now Naaman, commander of the army of the king of Syria, was a great and honorable man in the eyes of his master, because by him the Lord had given victory to Syria. He was also a mighty man of valor, but a leper. And the Syrians had gone out on raids, and had brought back captive a young girl from the land of Israel. She waited on Naaman’s wife. Then she said to her mistress, “If only my master were with the prophet who is in Samaria! For he would heal him of his leprosy.” And Naaman went in and told his master, saying, “Thus and thus said the girl who is from the land of Israel.”

Then the king of Syria said, “Go now, and I will send a letter to the king of Israel.”

So he departed and took with him ten talents of silver, six thousand shekels of gold, and ten changes of clothing. Then he brought the letter to the king of Israel, which said,

Now be advised, when this letter comes to you, that I have sent Naaman my servant to you, that you may heal him of his leprosy.

And it happened, when the king of Israel read the letter, that he tore his clothes and said, “Am I God, to kill and make alive, that this man sends a man to me to heal him of his leprosy? Therefore please consider, and see how he seeks a quarrel with me.”

So it was, when Elisha the man of God heard that the king of Israel had torn his clothes, that he sent to the king, saying, “Why have you torn your clothes? Please let him come to me, and he shall know that there is a prophet in Israel.”

Then Naaman went with his horses and chariot, and he stood at the door of Elisha’s house. 10 And Elisha sent a messenger to him, saying, “Go and wash in the Jordan seven times, and your flesh shall be restored to you, and you shall be clean.” 11 But Naaman became furious, and went away and said, “Indeed, I said to myself, ‘He will surely come out to me, and stand and call on the name of the Lord his God, and wave his hand over the place, and heal the leprosy.’ 12 Are not the Abanah[a] and the Pharpar, the rivers of Damascus, better than all the waters of Israel? Could I not wash in them and be clean?” So he turned and went away in a rage. 13 And his servants came near and spoke to him, and said, “My father, if the prophet had told you to do something great, would you not have done it? How much more then, when he says to you, ‘Wash, and be clean’?” 14 So he went down and dipped seven times in the Jordan, according to the saying of the man of God; and his flesh was restored like the flesh of a little child, and he was clean.

eikon_1142_15 And he returned to the man of God, he and all his aides, and came and stood before him; and he said, “Indeed, now I know that there is no God in all the earth, except in Israel; now therefore, please take a gift from your servant.”

16 But he said, “As the Lord lives, before whom I stand, I will receive nothing.” And he urged him to take it, but he refused.

17 So Naaman said, “Then, if not, please let your servant be given two mule-loads of earth; for your servant will no longer offer either burnt offering or sacrifice to other gods, but to the Lord. 18 Yet in this thing may the Lord pardon your servant: when my master goes into the temple of Rimmon to worship there, and he leans on my hand, and I bow down in the temple of Rimmon—when I bow down in the temple of Rimmon, may the Lord please pardon your servant in this thing.”

19 Then he said to him, “Go in peace.” So he departed from him a short distance.

  • The Anointing Offends those that do not practice the Truth (Luke 4:28) People will not like the fact that the anointing in your life reveals their own weaknesses and will stir up jealousy, hatred, and people will want to attack you but the anointing will still preserve you.

Jesus kept emphasizing in the synagogue that a prophet is not accepted in their own country and was calling that out on the Jews. Elijah and Elisha were such prophets and they kept giving instructions to willing vessels to receive blessings who were foreigners. In the Bible, you will find the frustration of the Lord in the book of Isaiah who keeps saying “Oh Jerusalem, how I have sent you many prophets and you did not receive them” and they kept killing them, dismissing them and not hearing them because they would not accept the instruction that the Lord had to give to them to guide them back in the right direction. The blessing of the anointing was no longer reserved for just the Jews, it was also for the Gentiles. That’s why Jesus states that He was going to pour out all His Spirit on all flesh. You no longer needed to be a Jew to receive the anointing and this reality and truth heavily offended those in the Synagogue.

The anointing gives direction to willing vessels and it does not discriminate. This is why a Muslim or any non-believer for that matter can come to church and receive the Word and act on it (being a doer of what they hear) and receive the reward that a Christian sitting in the same room would miss. The Anointing searches willing vessels that are ready to obey the Lords instruction in order to receive the blessing that they seek. This is why the people wanted to murder Jesus upon hearing all this. They were not ready for the Truth and wanted to kill him by pushing Jesus off a cliff, but they were unable to because the Anointing protects your destiny. That’s how powerful it truly is and this is the same anointing that is in all believers that have been baptized receiving the same power through the Holy Spirit.

Dealing with the Offense, the Offender and the Offended

Hello Everybody!

Well, this post is going to be rather short (I think) and not intended to be preachy, but I just wanted to address something here. I want to tackle the issue of offenses. In this life you will be offended, or have committed an offense and/or may have offended someone or some people in some way.

The question is how do you deal with the subject matter of:

  1. the offense,
  2. the offender, and
  3. the offended?

The truth is this, people who are often times offended remain offended when the offense that took place is not properly acknowledged by others as a legitimate complaint/issue. Sometimes, those that are offended fall in the class of (victim) when they receive no closure to the offense that took place. The fact is no matter how grievous the offense may be, no one can bring you closure except yourself. It’s either you forgive and let it go or you remain a victim forever and harbor bitterness inside your soul. Bitterness then turns into hatred and hatred is equivalent to murder in the Bible. You don’t have to personally stab the person or kill them with a physical weapon to murder the one who is the object of your hatred to commit murder, but hatred can drive you to do that because hatred contaminates the soul.

Whoever hates his brother is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life abiding in him.

angerIf you are the Offended, Do not allow yourself to be contaminated by hate. Having said that though, this doesn’t mean that your feelings of being offended are not legitimate. It’s how you deal with your feelings that matter. I remember when I was in grade school a guy told a weak kid he was bullying to punch me in the stomach for the fun of it to see if that kid would do his bidding, and he did. It hurt like hell, and I was incredibly offended by the offense. I wanted to beat up that kid so bad for what he did to me but my best friend who was a Christian thank God, told me to let it go because it wasn’t worth it and held me back from retaliating. At that time I wanted to punch the living daylights out of that kid for what he did in front of all my friends and classmates, and I remember holding onto this grudge for the longest time that I laughed at the kid when he couldn’t swim when we had swimming classes and that was my strength. Yes I was being immature, but mind you I think I was about 8 years old when this whole thing took place. I took the pain of being offended and became cruel in the sense that I took pleasure in the misfortunes of the one who had offended me (I wasn’t saved by the way). As time went on, I realized that my bitterness was doing me no good and one day my best friend looked at me and said “You know you’re being stupid right now, holding onto this thing forever. The only one suffering is you”. Needless to say, I was ticked off that my friend said that to me, I thought she would be on my side, and in actual fact she was, she just seemingly wasn’t nice about it but the thing was, she was telling me the truth.

anger (1).jpgThe Truth was hard to gulp down because I was too emotional, but at the end of the day, that really hit me when she said that to me and it was at that time I had to look at myself in the mirror and realize I was playing the “victim” card way too long. I decided to let it go and forgive my Offender. The kid later on came and apologized to me later for having listened to his bully like a fool. I honestly felt like the bigger fool for not seeing the full picture that I wasn’t the only victim here. He too was a victim. I later learned that he was a loner and had no friends and had a tough upbringing with difficult parents that always shouted at him all the time. I forgave him and decided to allow him in my friendship circle because I also found out he was subject to bullying.

Forgiveness brought me back to my senses. I felt human again and realized that hatred is like carrying a monkey on your back. That monkey isn’t supposed to be there and yet you keep carrying it on your back until you become a monster yourself. In no way am I saying that forgiveness is easy, but forgiveness allows you to act with grace towards others. In some cases, letting go doesn’t necessarily mean you let the offender stroll back in your life. I’m also referring to and talking about abuse situations and grievous offenses as well. I was molested when I was a child and although I have forgiven the offender, it doesn’t mean I’ll let them back in my life again. You need to apply wisdom with your forgiveness.

Forgiveness is like a protective shield. It shields you from bitterness that draws you to hate in the first place.

Forgiveness is about releasing yourself from the bondage of hate.

I was attacked by a guy who attempted to sexually assault me when I was in University. I never told a soul about this story, in fact my parents are currently not even aware that this happened. Although, he did not succeed, I was terrified and traumatized by the incident. I blamed myself for being tricked into going to a secluded area of the university “just to talk” because it was in the library I thought it was a safe place.

He committed an offense, he is the offender and I was the offended. I remember returning to the library a few weeks after the incident just wanting to avoid the guy because I didn’t want to cross paths but somehow I saw him stalking me in the same library and at this time I remember feeling angry and I wanted to publicly shame him and tell him off in public what he had done to me and scream at him and probably punch him in the face or maybe punch him multiple times, but then I remembered what my best-friend told me when I was 8 years old and though I was really tempted, and though my complaint was legitimate, and though my anger is justified, going after him and thinking of causing him harm wasn’t worth it. At that moment, I decided to let it go.

The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.

My Offender seemed to be afraid of me and when he saw that I noticed him stalking me in the library, he ran off. He probably felt guilty and was afraid I had reported the incident. I had not reported the incident because I was too ashamed of myself and was traumatized by the whole thing. I now understand why many rape victims don’t self-report things like this. It just re-traumatizes you to remember the incident, and I at that point in my life just wanted to forget it and move on. Maybe I should have reported it, but I was just too ashamed about it. I was a youth leader at my previous church and couldn’t even tell the pastors of the church what had happened because I was just too traumatized to speak. I guess fear gripped my mouth shut until now. I don’t know why I always tend to blog about things I want to take to my grave but I feel that this message may help someone. Usually, I am sharp at discerning people but I felt I had failed to see there was something wrong with this character. The Lord dealt with me and showed me that it wasn’t about discernment, it was the fact that I was too naive and too trusting, but I thank God for His protection because I managed to escape the assault. I was also battling a lot of spiritual warfare when I was in university and had difficulty concentrating, couldn’t sleep because of nightmares, issues with depression, etc. but I digress, the point is, hatred has a way of contaminating the way you think about people and it perverts your actions and draws you to act on evil intentions.

tumblr_kxsl0dOghF1qzu1fjo1_400Do not allow yourself to be bound with the “forever a victim” mentality. I know, “it’s easier said than done Minister Sherline” and I agree with you. However, that way of thinking leads to death. It’s either you kill yourself over it, or you kill someone else over it. I know this sounds extreme, but I’ve lived through quite a bit and have seen things that not many people should have experienced if they lived in a “normal” world devoid of cruelty. The reality is, that’s why we need to seek God to help us forgive. Forgiveness is not automatic all the time. For some people, it may take days, weeks or even years to do it, but the most important thing is taking steps to forgive in the first place. Your Offender may never be sorry for what they have done to offend you, and you may never receive closure over it by waiting for them to acknowledge the offense, but the thing is this, you are the only one that can set yourself free from the bondage of hate by deciding that you aren’t going to let the offender nor the offense ruin your life.

You’re not going to become a monster because you’re going to let go of your hatred TODAY.

To the Offender, you may not feel like you need to be sorry about your actions, and some of you may feel like you got away with something, but I can tell you the truth, that you will reap what you’ve sown if you feel guiltless. It’s better to seek forgiveness for your actions, sometimes the people you have offended may not forgive you, but it is important to do the right thing and make right with your brother and sister that you have offended. I’m not referring to just serious offenses, I’m even referring to even the petty small ones. Make it right with your brother and sister so that before God’s eyes, you can be redeemed and be in right-standing again. You can be blameless before God.

Behold, God will not cast away the blameless, Nor will He uphold the evildoers.

Whoever causes the upright to go astray in an evil way, He himself will fall into his own pit; But the blameless will inherit good.

For those that commit serious offenses, it is often-times difficult to seek to be forgiven from the person that you offended, but healing can begin for the both of you if you acknowledge the offense and apologize sincerely for committing the offense and acknowledge the pain of the offended. If the victim remains offended, you have at least done your part to right a wrong. God always looks at both parties in this whole thing. God looks at how the Offender is treated just as much as how the Offended is treated. The Offender is bound to the bondage of guilt whereas the Offended is bound to the spirit of unforgiveness. The Offended may experience unforgiveness to the Offender and in some cases unforgivness to themselves for having fallen victim to the offense. Let us remember that the Devil doesn’t care about any of the parties in relation to the Offense.

ephesians-4-321.jpgThe Offender and the Offended are destroyed if there is no admission of guilt or forgiveness of the offense. Both parties become losers to bondage and the devil’s work is done. We must remember that the enemy comes to steal, kill and destroy your happiness, joy and fulfillment that you had in your life by committing offenses that affect your soul. It is only through the guidance of the Holy Spirit that you can either find redemption by confessing the offense, the guilt and the shame if you are the offender and/or by choosing to forgive if offended.

Do not allow yourself to be bound in this scheme of Offense. If you need counseling to get over the offense, then seek it out, but don’t just sit there simmering in anger thinking that you’ll get even one day. You will find yourself running quickly to evil, and you will become deaf to God’s voice. I implore you to seek God’s face and be real with yourself. You may need help to forgive so seek it out, but also seek the help of the Holy Spirit to deliver you from the spirit of unforgiveness, shame, hate, anger or any negative feelings that cause you to be bound in a cycle of condemnation. Silence doesn’t make hatred go away, you have to confess what you really feel with your mouth and invite the Holy Spirit into your situation to begin the process of forgiveness.

[ Forgiveness and Prayer ] “And whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him, that your Father in heaven may also forgive you your trespasses.

But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father in heaven forgive your trespasses.

BaitOfSatan.jpgThere is a book I read written by John Bevere called The Bait of Satan. That book was instrumental in my deliverance from the spirit of unforgiveness and hatred. I had some serious issues, many legitimate complaints, but despite all these offenses, forgiveness is what blessed me to operate with the spirit of compassion. In order to operate with the spirit of Compassion, you need to have been through something and felt something to understand how you can empathize and sympathize with others and lead them to higher ground. Hatred can make you arrogant and filled with pride, but compassion is born from the spirit of humility that knows you need the Saviour to keep your sanity intact. You need Jesus. I know I’m not perfect and I also know when I have issues. The last thing you ever want to be is to be in denial of your issues. This book by John Bevere will help you and I encourage anybody who has issues with unforgiveness to read that book. God wants to heal you and deliver you from the snare of unforgiveness. Life is too short to remain unhappy…you deserve freedom from bitterness, but you have to confess with your mouth and forgive with your heart with the help of the Holy Spirit, Amen!

This is an old song from 21:03 called In Your Presence. I pray that it blesses your spirit today. I love this song. If anybody needs prayer in this area, don’t be afraid to message me in this post. God bless you everybody 🙂

Worship Sunday – Let the Holy Spirit Flow

Hi Everybody!

I hope you are having a blessed Sunday. My church and I have just finished the 21-Day Daniel Fast and we just have to give God praise. I have a song here that has been in my spirit from Jessica Reedy called “Flow”. It’s such a great song and I know it will bless  your spirit today. Sometimes I find that in different churches we get alot of teaching and preaching but when it comes time to minister, we get so caught up in church formalities that we simply just don’t allow the Holy Spirit to take over the service and watch Him move. This year, let us not quench the working power of the Holy Spirit and repent of the times we were stubborn and not listening to this amazing Helper that the Lord Jesus sent us. Let us work with the Holy Spirit rather than work against Him. Your miracles and answers are from Him anyway, so why quench the voice that seeks to deliver you in the first place. Allow this day for the Holy Spirit to move you, guide you and lead you to where God wants you to go. Obey the Holy Spirit this year, for when you put your trust in the Helper, He will lead you in the right direction.

John 14:26

But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.

May this song bless your spirit today, Amen! 🙂

Let God Direct Your Path

Hi Everybody!
I’m back from vacation and I  just wanted to give praise to God for making it the best I’ve ever had in a long while. Three weeks away from the noise and the distractions in my life have led me to feel so rejuvenated that I feel convinced that this year will be an amazing, dynamic, transforming and innovative year.

Everything from this point on is based on perspective. As I was praying to God during my holidays, the Holy Spirit showed me that a lot of things we go through in life are based on one of two perspectives; (1) It’s either we do things or experience things from our own perspective; or (2) we view our circumstances from God’s perspective.
Ask yourself, in light of where you are right now, how are you seeing your world? Is your worldview coming from your short-sighted carnal lens? Or are you allowing God to help you see clearly using His set of supernatural lenses?
The way in which you perceive your world today is the way in which you will choose to function in it.
Most of our reactions to situations are based on our perception of a situation. If you have a negative view of things, you will function with that negative under-tone in all that you do. If you have a positive view of the world, then you will function with that positive tone in all that you do. Many a time, we like to take things into our own hands and do things our own way, but lately, God has been showing me that it’s time we give the Holy Spirit some room to function in our lives since it is not by might, nor by power, but by His Spirit (Zechariah 4:6).

Today’s post comes from a contemplation of this scripture from:
Proverbs 3:6 – In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.

How many of us take the time to pray before we make a decision about something which even includes even the smallest of things in your tasks (i.e. shopping)? Many people want to hear from the Holy Spirit but they don’t want to include the Holy Spirit in their daily affairs. The Holy Spirit talks to us everyday, but it is up to us to take the time to make room for Him to voice His instructions. If you want to learn to hear from the Holy Spirit, you will have to learn to obey Him when he instructs you to do something. This is how you sharpen your hearing to hear what the Spirit of the Lord is saying to YOU the Church of Jesus Christ. When you give room for the Holy Spirit to speak you will increase in your spiritual discernment and sensitivity towards the things of the spirit.
In this particular year of Divine Grace, you will have to quicken your spirit to hear what the Holy Spirit is saying. Many of your struggles right now are based on acts of disobedience and lack of attention to the Holy Spirit’s voice. It may sound hard to believe, but you sit down and do an inventory of your actions and ask yourself how many times did you consult or take the time to pray before deciding to take a course of action? Be honest with yourself. In fact, I’ll be the first to put my hand up and confess that there were times that I leaped into something head first without consulting the Lord on whether or not my decision was the right course of action to take and only discovered my mistakes after-the-fact. You don’t want to move in that level of mediocrity this year.
Don’t strive to build things with your own hands (Might and Power) without consulting with the Holy Spirit this year. If you do things like that, you will be actually working against yourself and you will indeed labour in vain. The Holy Spirit wants to guide you in the right direction which requires your ability to remain attentive, patient, and obedient. If you cannot master your ability to listen and obey to simple instructions, then you will block yourself from receiving instructions that could lead you to greener pastures.
Our perception of obedience must be changed in order to move away from doing things from our own will and actively pursuing God’s will. God’s will for your life is to prosper as your souls prospers, but if  you aren’t taking the time to pay attention to him, you might just “miss the mark” Also consider that “missing the mark” is also defined as “sin“.

Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.

For the hearts of this people have grown dull. Their ears are hard of hearing, And their eyes they have closed, Lest they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears, Lest they should understand with their hearts and turn, So that I should heal them.”’

This should be your goal this year. Make it a point to seek God’s face this year and learn to hear the voice of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit will guide you to people that will either show you the answer, be the answer or are a sign that you are heading in the right direction.  Learn to humble yourself and expect that your answers will come from the least likely of sources so do not judge prejudicially a book by its cover.
You want to prosper? Then focus on letting your ego step aside for a moment and give more room for the Holy Spirit to take over in your daily affairs. The more room you give to  allow the Holy Spirit to function in your life, the more you will be able to grow spiritually sensitive to hear God’s voice and incline your ears to instructions. You will avoid so much strife by learning to humble yourself to take heed to the Holy Spirit’s voice.
Some of you maybe asking, how do I hear from Him? You must first immerse yourself in the Word (the Bible) in order to know when the Lord is speaking to you. If you don’t know any of His Word, then how can you expect to learn to hear and recognize His voice in the first place?
A great analogy would be when you listen to a familiar song on the radio and you immediately know who sang the song and what the lyrics are to that song. How were you able to know who was singing if you didn’t read the lyrics, familiarize or meditate on the song? You wouldn’t be able to without doing those things, so in the same way, God instructs us to meditate on the Word of God Day and Night and to not have this Word depart from our mouths so that when we incline our ears to understanding we will be able to recognize the Holy Spirit’s voice. Make this your goal this year and seek God with all your heart, soul, and mind. God Bless your everybody.

This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.

[ A Book of Remembrance ] Then those who feared the Lord spoke to one another, And the Lord listened and heard them; So a book of remembrance was written before Him For those who fear the Lord And who meditate on His name.

But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.

This song that I’m posting is one that I have posted before from Hillsongs United called Oceans. May this song bless your spirit today. 🙂

Worship Sunday: The Great I AM

Happy Sunday Everybody!

I just had to post this awesome song called The Great I AM by PHILLIPS, CRAIG & DEAN. This song is just filling up my spirit and I just had to share this song with y’all. I will post the video of this song being sung by LaRue Howard. It just sounds AWESOME. I pray that it blesses your spirit today. God Bless you Everybody! 🙂

Here are the lyrics:

 “Great I Am”

I want to be close, close to Your side
So Heaven is real and death is a lie
I want to hear voices of angels above
Singing as one

[Chorus:]
Hallelujah, holy, holy
God Almighty, the great I AM
Who is worthy, none beside Thee
God Almighty, the great I AM

I want to be near, near to Your heart
Loving the world and hating the dark
I want to see dry bones living again
Singing as one

[Chorus]

The great I AM

The mountains shake before You the demons run and flee
At the mention of the name King of Majesty
There is no power in hell
Or any who can stand
Before the power and the presence of the great I AM

The great I AM the great I AM yeah

[Chorus x2]

The great I AM
The great I AM
The great I AM

Spirit Break Out

Hi Everybody!

It’s time to give God the Highest Praise!!!!!!

Yesterday I had the honor of going to the Jesus Culture and Kim Walker concert and I can tell you it was phenomenal! I loved it and this song was sung at the concert that I felt would be a great worship song to bless your spirit today. It’s called Spirit Break Out. It’s time to give God high Glory and high Praise. I believe Revival is in our now season. I believe for it and I receive it for all those that have been praying for it. God is bringing His Kingdom to be made manifest in our lives this year through Restoration, Redemption & Revival!

John 4:23

But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him.
John 16:13

However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come.

Hear this song today and may it bless your Spirit today.  God bless y’all! 😀

In Thy Name

God's NameHi Everybody,

Hope y’all are having a blessed weekend. Today, I want to post a video called “Thy Name”.

The questions I have for your meditation today are:

Do you know who God is? Who is God to you?

Many people assume that they do many good works in His Name which make them stellar Christians in the eyes of people, but unfortunately, these same people ignore the voice of the Father (through the Holy Spirit) when He gives direction which is an act of DISOBEDIENCE.

If you are one of those that say “I have never heard the Lord say….” or “The Holy Spirit doesn’t speak to me…”, then You need to re-evaluate how you perceive yourself before the Father.

You need to have a revelation of who God is to you in order to hear what He is saying to  you in order for you to be who God wants you to be…and that is to be His child.

148663_10152093485351832_2085451673_nChildren of God are Children of obedience. Obedience is cultivated by a trust relationship. You need to Trust in the Father as the Father also has need to Trust in you.  Trust is built on Faith, and Faith comes by Hearing, and Hearing by the Word of the Lord (Romans 10:17).

Do you Trust God enough to Hear Him? Sometimes our Pride can cause us to be deaf to the Holy Spirit, but when we humble ourselves before Him and pray and seek His face, that is when we truly begin to Hear what the Spirit of the Lord is saying to “Us” the Church as little children (Revelation 2:7, 11, 17,29; Revelations 3:6, 13, 22).

You know the saying that goes…“When the student is ready, the master will appear”. Well, in our case…it’s different. In our case it is

“When YOU, the Child of God is ready, the Father will appear”.

Are you ready to be what you were predestined to be?

As Jesus is the Great Shepherd, He tells us that “My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.”  (John 10:27).

In order to follow Jesus, we must be willing to hear what the Spirit of the Lord wants us to hear.

God speaks to us everyday in so  many different ways. Do not put God in a box with your way of thinking. Learn to soften your heart and become sensitive to the voice of the Holy Spirit. You can do this by meditating on the Word and acting on it by faith. When you reach out to the Father by faith, He will extend His hand to you. It’s all in His Word. He is not a man that He should lie. So reach out to Him today and learn to Hear from Him when He calls you by Name.

Scriptures to Meditate on:

Psalm 73:28

But it is good for me to draw near to God; I have put my trust in the Lord GOD, That I may declare all Your works.
Ecclesiastes 5:1

Fear God, Keep Your Vows ] Walk prudently when you go to the house of God; and draw nearto hear rather than to give the sacrifice of fools, for they do not know that they do evil.
James 4:8

Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purifyyour hearts, you double-minded.
Numbers 23:19

“God is not a man, that He should lie, Nor a son of man, that He should repent. Has He said, and will He not do? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good?

May This video by Shiftworship Bless your Spirit today. God bless you everybody! 😀

Doxology: Live to Praise and Worship Him Daily

Hi Everybody!

Today, I have a video from my favourite person Dan Stevers called Doxology (means: a liturgical formula of praise to God.).

I feel that we must really seek a life that gives us reasons to praise and worship God daily. It says in: Psalm 150:6  Let everything that has breath praise the Lord. Praise the Lord. If we all have breath, we must live life with praise continually being in our mouths. Each day is a blessing in that many people did not see today, but if you are reading this…you are blessed to be alive. Life is a precious gift. Let us not squander this life with prayer-lessness, praise-lessness and worship-lessness (I know, I’m making up these words – humor me).  God seeks those that will worship Him in Spirit and in Truth.

John 4:23

Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in the Spirit and in truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks.

John 4:24 God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth.”

We cannot worship the Father in this way if our flesh is fed more than our spirit.

The Lord Jesus sent us a Helper, who is the Holy Spirit to show us how to live life in a state of worship unto God Daily. It’s time to starve our fleshy desires and feed our spirits with the Holy things of God. We have to go back to the basics and reclaim our unity with the Holy Spirit once again. If we want to walk in the full power of the Spirit, we need to do what is necessary in order to feed it and die to the flesh.

The World is full of distractions, but we have the Bible to show us how we can maintain our focus on the important things in life.

God has to be your TOP #1 priority before anything else. Many people think that by putting God first you automatically get stuff…which we call “blessings”, but that in a way is a form of self-deception in that if all you are seeking is to get stuff from God, then you are still entertaining the fleshy side of you that seeks self-gratification through things, rather than seeking the intimacy one achieves by being in constant communication with the Lord of Hosts, our Lord Jesus Christ.

God seeks relationship, and worship is that link that brings us closer to Him. The reason why He seeks worshipers to worship Him in Spirit and in Truth, is because it is only through the Spirit, and it is only in those who pursue and live by the Truth that will be able to tap into the very Heart of God.

John 16:13

But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come.

David is a great example of such a worshiper, for he was a man after God’s Heart. The question we must ask ourselves today is … Are we after God’s heart, or are we after God’s stuff?

As I spend time in my prayer closet, I’ve come to feel that God is always near us…but the reason why it seems like He is so far away from us at times is because we haven’t fine tuned our spirits truthfully to hear Him when He calls us. Instead, we have nurtured a heart that seeks after the things that give us temporary pleasures and have ultimately blocked out the voice of Holy Spirit. What will it take for God to get your full attention? It’s amazing that in most cases, people remember God in the bad times…but God doesn’t want to be remembered only in the bad times….He wants to be a part of all the Good times in your life as well.

I believe that it is time for God to take the Throne-room of our hearts and take a seat. God is sovereign and He will only become sovereign to you when you decide that other things can wait, because “Lord, Your servant is listening.” I believe that in the present time, God wants to use those whose hearts are seeking Him diligently. It’s time to bend to the Will of God for your lives and it’s time to forsake our selfish attitudes and set aside our differences with people so that forgiveness reigns in your heart and peace travels with you because it says in God’s Word, that Only the Pure in Heart will see God.

Matthew 5:8

Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.
So everybody, search deep within the crevices of your hearts and consider that it’s time to feed your Spirit and bury your fleshy way of life, because in the end, your body will perish one day, but it is your spirit that will live on into the next eternity.Make sure you live a life that prepares you for your eternity into the next by living to Praise and Worship God Daily.
I have a song here by Isaach Carree called Paradise. I pray that this video blesses your spirit today. God bless you everybody!

God – You Did!

pillar-of-light

Hi Everybody!

Honor-HimWooohoooooooo it’s the final day of the Fast for me! The whole journey has been rather surreal for me. I remember going to church last night because we were praying throughout the 21 Day Daniel Fast so it was holding a prayer service, and as people were praying for their needs, I literally saw a cloud of smoke hovering the entire congregation and it filled the entire room and I knew it was the presence of God because this wasn’t the first time I’d seen this happen.

Exodus 33:10

All the people saw the pillar of cloud standing at the tabernacle door, and all the people rose and worshiped, each man in his tent door.

People of God, the presence of God is tangible from my experience. It was a fearful sight for me, because that is when you realize that you’ve entered into a place that is considered the Holy of Holies. I remember feeling like I was just trembling throughout the prayer session and what I can say is that when you enter into that Holy place, you can’t joke around in that presence. I believe that the same God who walked with the Isralites like a pillar of cloud by day and a pillar of fire by night is able to make His presence known to those who reverentially fear Him. As I meditate today, I feel in my spirit that the Lord wants people to know that the Lord will lead you in the night time and in the day time with knowledge, instruction, direction from the Light that comes from His Word. All you have to do is watch Him lead and you follow as you walk by faith and not by sight.

For we walk by faith, not by sight.

Exodus 13:21

And the Lord went before them by day in a pillar of cloud to lead the way, and by night in a pillar of fire to give them light, so as to go by day and night.

I’m expecting a new move of God this year. What took years to be established will take days if not hours to be fulfilled. There is indeed a quickening in the spirit so don’t give up on what you are praying for is my encouragement today. God will show you the road in which you should travel if you just put your trust in Him today.

Nehemiah 9:12

Moreover You led them by day with a cloudy pillar, And by night with a pillar of fire, To give them light on the road Which they should travel.

Nehemiah 9:19

Yet in Your manifold mercies You did not forsake them in the wilderness. The pillar of the cloud did not depart from them by day, To lead them on the road; Nor the pillar of fire by night, To show them light, And the way they should go.
God will not leave you in the wilderness if you just allow Him to take you by the Hand and allow Him to lead you in the right direction, is what I’m hearing in my spirit right now as I’m typing this.
if-god-is-with-us
This word that is in my spirit right now is to encourage you as it is also an encouragement to myself. There are moments I wonder whether I am heading in the right direction as I sometimes am filled with anxiety wondering if I’m still following Him. There are moments where the road seems a bit blurry and you need that reassurance that you are walking in the right direction. Throughout the fast God has been telling me to not lean on my own understanding and to follow Him as He directs my path (Proverbs 3:5-7). Sometimes we operate by presumption, assuming we know where we ought to go…but that level of presumption can lead you astray if you are not careful. We can’t rely on our own understanding to get to where God wants us to be so we have to humble ourselves and allow Him to direct the path and He will make it clear for you. I pray that the journey ahead of all of us will be made clear and that in whatever we do, we must do it for the glory of God to be revealed to His lost sheep.
May the peace of God follow you throughout the year everybody!

I feel like celebrating the end of this fast with a song by J.Moss (feat. James Fortune) called You Did. May this Song bless your spirit today Everybody!

How the Holy Spirit is Misunderstood

Today the third person of the Trinity is underappreciated by those who misunderstand Him and misrepresented by those overzealous for His manifestations. Somewhere between those extremes we must realize our desperate need for a genuine move of the Holy Spirit.

The world is full of books about God the Father who created the universe, and more books are written about Jesus the Son of God than anyone who ever walked on this planet. But isn’t it interesting that far fewer books have been written about God the Holy Spirit?

When teaching on prayer, Jesus declared, “If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him!” (Luke 11:13, emphasis added). You’d think that promise would create a huge desire to know more about this promised Helper—?who He is and what He does. And it would be even better if we were to experience Him as a living reality the way the early believers did.

We know that Jesus the Son is seated at the right hand of the Father (Luke 22:69; Eph. 1:20; Col. 3:1). So that means the Holy Spirit is God’s only agent on Earth. He is the only experience we can have of God Almighty, the only way we can have the work of Jesus Christ applied to our lives and the only way we can understand God’s Word. Without the Holy Spirit, we are like the disciples before Pentecost—?sincere but struggling with confusion and defeat.

More than 100 years ago, Samuel Chadwick, a great Methodist preacher and leader in England, summed it up concisely: “The Christian religion is hopeless without the Holy Ghost.”

The early church provides the perfect illustration of that hopelessness. It was made up of simple men and women. The leaders were former fishermen and tax collectors who fled in fear when Jesus was arrested and needed them most. They weren’t courageous and faithful. In fact, they lacked faith and courage. They were the least likely to be put in charge of any Christian enterprise.

Yet after the events in Acts 2, when the Holy Spirit was poured out, those same nobodies were suddenly transformed. With courage and faith, they turned their community, and eventually the world, upside down.

It wasn’t a result of their seminary training; they didn’t have any. They couldn’t hand out copies of the New Testament; it hadn’t been written yet. It wasn’t because they were wealthy and had the greatest sound system and light show at their church; they were poor people without a church building.

To the existing Jewish religious establishment, those early Christians were mocked as unlearned and ignorant people with few resources. To the Roman Empire they seemed fanatical and strange.

But one thing they did possess was the power of the Holy Spirit. Jesus told them to rely on the Spirit for everything. The early believers knew well that Christianity was hopeless without the Holy Spirit.

Giving the Spirit His Due

The Holy Spirit is underappreciated and underpreached by the 21st century church. There is a prejudice of sorts against the Holy Spirit that impedes many from learning more about Him.

The body of Christ is often divided into two sides. One side stresses the Word of God, separating itself from what it views as the emotional fanaticism often linked to those emphasizing the work of the Holy Spirit. The other side is sometimes known for drifting into unbiblical manifestations and unorthodox teaching while attributing it all to the Spirit of God.

Seeing the abuse and bad teaching, many on the first side will say: “I’m not interested in experiences and manifestations of the Holy Spirit. I just want to study the Word.”

But it was the Holy Spirit who inspired the Bible, and there are lots of promises concerning His person and work. How can anyone treasure God’s Word without giving the Holy Spirit His rightful place?

To those who move in circles strongly emphasizing the Holy Spirit, they must be reminded that everything must be tested by Scripture. The Spirit never contradicts the Word He gave us. He also never puts the focus on the preacher, because the Holy Spirit was sent to glorify Christ alone (John 16:14).

Somewhere in the middle is the kind of Christianity we see in Scripture, where the Word of God is honored along with a childlike dependence and openness to the Holy Spirit. Only the Holy Spirit can make the things of Christ real and alive to people.

Christianity does not stop at the cross where Jesus died and paid the price for our sins. After Good Friday was Resurrection Sunday, when the Spirit raised Christ.

Yet so many of us live with faint trickles and shallow pools of the Spirit, rather than the promised rivers of living water. “On the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, ‘If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink. He who believes in Me, as Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water’” (John 7:37-38, emphasis added).

By this He meant the Spirit. Everything about the Spirit speaks of powerful currents of life that refresh us and flow out to bless others.

Let’s remember how any person becomes a Christian: Before a person can feel the need for Jesus Christ as Savior, he or she must first be convicted of sin. “And when He has come, He will convict the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment” (John 16:8). The Holy Spirit shows us our sin and our need for a Savior. That is what every believer experiences in conversion to Christ.
