Everything’s Gonna Be Alright!

Hello People!

I just had to post this upbeat song by Canton Jones called Be Alright to uplift your spirit today! You know when you’re going through a tough time whether it be financial distress, sickness, betrayal, abandonment etc etc, sometimes you just want to know or have some show of confidence that no matter what difficulties that you face, when you put your trust in God with whatever it is that you’re going through, just know that it’s going to be alright. People may abandon you, people may disappoint you, and things may seem to be going south in your life when they should be heading north, but with God on your side, all things work together for the good of those that love the Lord.

The way I perceive situations these days is in light of whatever will be will be and whatever will not be was probably not meant to be.  You cannot afford to look at that which you cannot change. Rather, keep on pressing forward and not look back at things that hold no meaning to you at this time. Focus on what is important and pursue purpose. I believe that there are people that will reconnect to people at the appointed time this year for a specific purpose. I also believe that there will be divine connections that God will bring to people for the purpose of building others and taking them towards their God-driven destiny. Seek God in all that you do, and focus on what is ahead of you rather than what has passed and in the past. I pray that this song by Canton Jones will bless your spirit today. God Bless You everybody! 😀

And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.

The next song is by Zoe Grace feat. Jay Simz called Blinded by Your Grace. I just love the beat of this song and I pray that it just blesses your spirit today. God Bless you Everybody! 😀

Worship: River of Jordan

The next song is by Big Daddy Weave called The Lion and the Lamb.

Fighting Temptations – Praise Is Necessary

Hello People!

I have a couple of songs to bless your spirit today.  The first song is by one of my favourite people, Canton Jones called Necessary. All my praise is necessary! I know that this song will make you one-two-step. 😀

The next song is by Deitrick Haddon called Fighting Temptation. We all know that there are many things out there that pressure us to go outside the will of God, but we have the ability to fight temptations through prayer and fasting, and also by the choices that we make. We don’t have to sway like a pendulum with what the world entices us to do that is against God’s will for our lives. We can choose to stand against the grain and walk uprightly by simply choosing to do the right thing. Sometimes the right thing may not be “popular”, but honestly, popularity that encourages mediocrity is not worth pursuing. It’s better to have a life that sits on honest scales, rather than a life that bears the weight of heaping sin upon sin.

[ Woe to the Obstinate Nation ] “Woe to the obstinate children,” declares the Lord, “to those who carry out plans that are not mine, forming an alliance, but not by my Spirit, heaping sin upon sin;

I pray that these songs bless your spirit today. God Bless You Everybody! 😀

Recognizing the difference between a “Hireling” and the “True Shepherd”

Image result for jesus christ shepherdHi Everybody!

I had wanted to explore this topic a long time ago and forgot that I had left this post in my draft posts section for the past few months. Today, I want to talk about the “Hireling spirit”. What I want to say is that we should avoid developing a “Hireling” spirit as a behavior because a Hireling is literally “hired help” but not necessarily one with the heart of a True Shepherd.

John 10:12
But a hireling, he who is not the shepherd, one who does not own the sheep, sees the wolf coming and leaves the sheep and flees; and the wolf catches the sheep and scatters them.

John 10:13
The hireling flees because he is a hireling and does not care about the sheep.

When you go to church, I think it is important to develop discernment with respect to your Pastors/Preachers/Priests and any head member or leader of the church that is in charge of leading people in some group or another in the church.

Image result for jesus christ shepherdI think it is especially important for parents to assess the leadership of the churches that they want their children to attend because it’s not enough to look at a building filled with many people and assume that just because a place has a huge following that the doctrine is “sound”. I find that particularly in North America, we’ve had issues with Church leaders falling, particularly in “mega-churches” because of one scandal or another. This has given a rise to the issue of Apostasy as is written in 1 Timothy 4 (NKJV):

The Great Apostasy

Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons, speaking lies in hypocrisy, having their own conscience seared with a hot iron, forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from foods which God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and know the truth. For every creature of God is good, and nothing is to be refused if it is received with thanksgiving; for it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer.

A Good Servant of Jesus Christ

If you instruct the brethren in these things, you will be a good minister of Jesus Christ, nourished in the words of faith and of the good doctrine which you have carefully followed. But reject profane and old wives’ fables, and exercise yourself toward godliness. For bodily exercise profits a little, but godliness is profitable for all things, having promise of the life that now is and of that which is to come. This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptance. 10 For to this end we both labor and suffer reproach,[a] because we trust in the living God, who is the Savior of all men, especially of those who believe. 11 These things command and teach.

Take Heed to Your Ministry

12 Let no one despise your youth, but be an example to the believers in word, in conduct, in love, in spirit,[b] in faith, in purity. 13 Till I come, give attention to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine. 14 Do not neglect the gift that is in you, which was given to you by prophecy with the laying on of the hands of the eldership. 15 Meditate on these things; give yourself entirely to them, that your progress may be evident to all. 16 Take heed to yourself and to the doctrine. Continue in them, for in doing this you will save both yourself and those who hear you.

apostasyThe issue of APOSTASY can be also found in Africa, Asia, Europe and other countries where there are huge churches that have issues with misappropriation of church funds, mismanagement of tithes and offerings, using the Word (the Bible) out of context to manipulate people into giving for personal gains and not for true charitable efforts as it should be intended for etc etc because of a lack of transparency and accountability.  It makes outsiders who look in at some of these places that are meant to be a safe haven for “true worshipers” and “believers” to view such churches as places filled with mediocrity. I do not believe that God is pleased.

Some other churches have fallen because of sexual abuse/misconduct or some other scandal where a leader turned out to be gay/lesbian etc etc and the list going on. The devil is having a field day when he sees a church fall as he strikes the shepherd.

“Woe to the worthless shepherd, who deserts the flock! May the sword strike his arm and his right eye! May his arm be completely withered, his right eye totally blinded!”

[ The Shepherd Struck, the Sheep Scattered ] “Awake, sword, against my shepherd, against the man who is close to me!” declares the Lord Almighty. “Strike the shepherd, and the sheep will be scattered, and I will turn my hand against the little ones.

[ Jesus Predicts Peter’s Denial ] Then Jesus told them, “This very night you will all fall away on account of me, for it is written: “‘I will strike the shepherd, and the sheep of the flock will be scattered.’

[ Jesus Predicts Peter’s Denial ] “You will all fall away,” Jesus told them, “for it is written: “‘I will strike the shepherd, and the sheep will be scattered.’

Image result for jesus christ shepherdIt is important to develop discernment concerning the leadership that you have in your churches, but you can only develop discernment concerning your leadership when you develop your own knowledge of what is written in the Word (The Bible) for yourself so that you will be able to pick up the fact when someone is speaking something that is contrary to what is written in the Bible and out of context. Do not wait for a Sunday service to feed your spirit with the Word of God. You should learn to read the Bible for yourself and meditate on the Word day and night so that it doesn’t depart from your mouth.

This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.

But his delight is in the law of the Lord, And in His law he meditates day and night.

Spiritual WarfareNow, I want to make it clear that I’m not advocating a “witch hunt” in churches. What I am simply saying is that as Christians, I think we should not be complacent and that we should make it our duty to know how to discern when a leader in the church is leading people astray with false doctrine, and/or using the Word out of context in order to satisfy a personal agenda that has nothing to do with increasing ones spirituality, holiness or promoting Godly living. We need to protect our children from such leadership that can subtly become cult-like if we do not perceive the agenda of the leadership that uses the Word (the Bible) to manipulate people into doing things that are unbiblical in the first place by using the Word out of context to suit their own agendas.

Image result for spiritual warfare

There are some churches particularly in North America that manipulate people into giving huge amounts of money during offering collections but you never see the fruit of that giving, you never see where that money is going because there is a lack of accountability and transparency. When God-fearing people attempt to challenge the leadership to become accountable about the current status quo, you’ll have to take note that you will face ridicule, persecution within the four walls of what should be a “safe-haven” just because you want to challenge the status-quo. I’ve been there and done that. I was in a church that didn’t like being challenged for some of the things that they were doing that I thought were quite unethical in practice and wow….the backlash was incredible because I chose to challenge the status-quo. I’m not afraid to address what greed.jpgshould be done right. I’m not about pulling the wool over people’s eyes especially with respect to church funds. Donations should be used for what they were intended for. I don’t see why people should be benefiting from the offering if the offering is intended to build the church and not fill certain “leaders” pockets as they buy the latest cars and new houses with the church funds while some people are sacrificing a 10th (10%) of their salary through their tithes and offerings just to see God move in their lives. I don’t believe that’s right. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not advocating that church leaders shouldn’t receive a salary, because they should; however, what I am saying is that there have been several scandals in North America where there has been a gross misappropriation of church funds to fuel and satisfy the greed and lust of certain church leaders that have seared consciences with respect to the things of God which includes the purpose of the tithes and offerings that is intended to fill the storehouse (the Church) for Church needs and missions and not necessarily to greedily fill their pockets with more than “enough”.

[ Do Not Rob God ] “Will a man rob God? Yet you have robbed Me! But you say, ‘In what way have we robbed You?’ In tithes and offerings.

Image result for greedIt is so important to develop spiritual discernment with regards to the leadership in your churches because there have been cases where some churches became occultic through their leadership.

How can a church become occultic you ask?

It can happen if some leaders use the Bible out of context to spiritually manipulate their congregation to either participate in strange activities that have no true Biblical basis to back it up or engage in frivolous giving with the intention of amassing wealth from their congregation on the basis of fueling their greed. I have heard of pastors manipulating women (including married women) to sleep with them in order to “purify” their souls or absolve them of their sins. Where in the BIBLE does it say to do that which is contrary? Such abuses cannot be overlooked and I believe God is not pleased when such abuses happen in the church. This is why it is important for every believer to read the Bible for themselves and know what it says so that they cannot be led astray by Wolves in Sheeps clothing.

Matthew 7:15 [Full Chapter]

[ You Will Know Them by Their Fruits ] “Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves.

Wolves in Sheep Clothing

I just want to state for the record that I’m not advocating a witch-hunt in churches because there are churches with honest Shepherds and God-fearing leadership. What I am saying is that it is important to build on discernment so that you are not easily led astray by individuals who know how to use the Word (The Bible) out of context to manipulate people into doing things that are contrary to what is actually written. If you recognize that you are in a church that is not teaching sound doctrine, and that you are able to identify that some of the practices within the church are contrary to the Bible, then, I think it is time that you consider where in the world are you? Do not be idle in the church! Read your Bible for yourself and not simply wait for a Sunday Service to get your Bible fix. Also consider that you may have to look for another church if the one you are in is leading people astray from the TRUTH. You need to meditate on the Word for yourself so that you can become strong in the Lord and lead others in the right direction. It is important to meditate on what is written so that you can discern when someone is preaching something false or contrary to what you know is in the Bible. This is how you can sharpen your discernment. Iron sharpens iron and you need to sharpen your knowledge so that you can be able to distinguish that which is true and that which is false.

Remember when Jesus said that:

Matthew 7:21 [Full Chapter]

[ I Never Knew You ] “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven.

This just goes to show you that it’s not enough to simply have the appearance of Godliness if you deny it’s power.

2 Timothy 3:1-7 (NKJV)

Perilous Times and Perilous Men

But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away! For of this sort are those who creep into households and make captives of gullible women loaded down with sins, led away by various lusts, always learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.

Image result for spiritual warfare

We need to become consciously aware that we live in very evil and perilous times. Again, I’m not advocating a witch hunt in churches. What I am simply saying is that as Christians, it is our duty to learn the Word for ourselves rather than wait for a Sunday service to get our Word fix. We need to meditate on the Word so that we can develop our discernment and the sensitivity to distinguish when someone is saying something that is contrary to what is written. Jesus always said “It is written…”, however, how many of us know what is written? In order to protect yourself and your family from being led astray, it is pertinent that you hold Bible studies together as a family so that you can all grow together and then when you go to church you gain more understanding of what is written when the pastor preaches.

Self-growth is an individualistic thing. You have to be proactive in order to grow in your faith. There are many resources out there to help you increase in your faith. Invest in Christian books in areas of spiritual warfare, spiritual growth, theology etc etc. I would definitely invest increasing knowledge for personal growth so that you can become stronger and sharper as a Christian. I would highly recommend this website:  www.christianbooks.com as a great resource for affordable Christian literature if you are interested in investing in your knowledge of the Word. You will be more effective in your evangelistic efforts when you increase in your knowledge base of the Word and things concerning Christian living. Well, I think I’ve written enough for today so God Bless You everybody! 😀

Being Radical for Christ

Hi Everybody!

I just had to post this short video that will help you reflect on what it means to be Radical for Christ. Prophets of the Old testament were what I think some people in this day and age would have thought as crazy and out of their minds. I’m sure many people believed that they were insane because of the things they would do, say and prophesy would happen in the future that others could not foresee. However, they did the will of the Father who sent them and sometimes were ostracized because of it. My feeling is that we need to get back into those radical moves for God again. We need to be driven by passion again.

I feel that this year has been very different for me. I’ve attended various types of conferences in the past few years that have totally changed my outlook and walk with God that I can now see that one thing lacking in the church is people being moved by faith in the Spirit of God. We need to move by Faith in order to do those things that seem impossible. The earth is groaning to see the Sons of God arise, but not many want to pick up their own crosses to bare the weight of the assignment that is on their lives. God needs you to be who He sent you to be, and that is to be a light unto the world that needs to know that there is a Saviour that does love us, Who also wants you to be free from bondage that so easily ensnares us. You can be free if you just believe.

[ The Truth Shall Make You Free ] Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, “If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed.

Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed.

For the creation waits in eager expectation for the children of God to be revealed.

Romans 8:19 (NKJV)
For the earnest expectation of the creation eagerly waits for the revealing of the sons of God.

Spiritual House Cleaning

Hi Everybody!

So today my post is about spiritual house cleaning. I have read a book by Perry Stone called Purging your House, Pruning your Family Tree which deals with recognizing whether or not you have accursed things in your houses that can affect the spiritual climate of your home. A lot of people buy articles of clothing and souvenirs from countries that they visit during vacations and bring back as keep sakes because they want to have memories for their visits; however, some things that people bring back into their homes can bring in curses even if bought out of ignorance. There is a really great book that I would recommend people to get regarding how to spiritually clean your house by Eddie and Alice Smith called Spiritual House Cleaning.

It reveals a lot about how to detect what is causing demonic influences to inhabit your home. Many things are tied to objects or activities that have taken place in the residence that leave a place to be spiritually contaminated by demonic influences. Some people in the world won’t venture into certain houses because of “ghost stories” or a series of unfortunate events that happened in a home that leaves the place to be no safe haven. There a things we can do to keep our homes sanctified and holy, however, it’s all dependent on how serious we are to purge the things that contaminate our homes.

In the book Witchcraft in the Pews, Bishop George Bloomer talks about how a woman was given a set of 5 dolls in a coffin looking box by a relative. Immediately, I thought they were voodoo dolls, but anyway, she accepted these dolls in ignorance and she kept them.  Since that time, she and her family were unable to keep a house for a long period of time, she relocated several times in less that 6 months at a time in a 10 year period. They had financial distress, and health issues afflicting the members. Bishop prayed with the lady to break off the curse and to renounce her attachment to these dolls but was puzzled as to why there were five dolls in a box instead of one. Bishop consulted a friend who had knowledge concerning certain occult practices that afflict people to find out what the meaning of the 5 dolls meant and was revealed to him that the significance of the 5 dolls was symbolic of the number of members the woman had in her family. She had a family of 5 and the relative who gave her these dolls used it to curse her and steal her and her family members blessings and transfer them onto themselves. The lady noted that that specific family member never experienced financial difficulties after she had given the dolls to her as a “present”.

In Perry Stone’s book Purging your House, Pruning your Family Tree he uncovers a serious chain of deaths in the J.F. Kennedy family brought upon by the father of the family. Every son and child died tragically in violent ways because of the sins of the Father. This is called a Generational curse. People, what I can say is that it is important to really look at your family tree and start pruning some branches that have allowed for continual afflictions to exist in your family. I have been looking back at my own family tree and know that there is a chain of distant relatives who practiced occult activities that have been in the family and a chain of deaths of the twins in the family.

In knowing this, I had to renounce the sins of the fore fathers in order to break the chain of curses that can touch the third and forth generations. I know in my family the death of the twins seemed to be a serious matter. I used to have twin grand-uncles on my grandpas side and twins on my grandmas side. On my grandpa’s side the twins would die in mysterious ways. We have distant twin cousins who have died either early or when they achieved a feat. The longest surviving twins were in their late 30’s and one of them had achieved a doctorate, but died a few days later after his graduation. Now they are both dead. My sister and I are the longest surviving twins so far. I know that in tracing back such history you cannot joke with the impact that a generational curse can have on a family, but I praise God that my sister and I are the first born-again long-surviving twins in the family. We have to break the chain somewhere and it’s only through believing in Christ as our Lord and Savior. It is important to not remain ignorant of the devices of the enemy used against you and your family no matter how Christian you are.

There is nothing worse that being an ignorant Christian.

So today, trace back to your family tree and analyze the patterns that have contributed to generational curses and generational blessings. I know that although there have been generational curses in my family, there has also been a generational blessing that has started with my grandpa in terms of education. He was the first sibling out of nine children to graduate out of university and so far, as the third generation both my twin and I have graduated out of university with double honors majors. My Aunt has a Masters in the Arts so there is something to praise God about. Sometimes breaking such curses seems like a struggle but with God all things are possible. We can only renounce the sins of the past and look forward towards the goal pressing forward and never giving up.  Continue to speak blessings over your life no matter how bleak the situation seems. Spoken words of Blessings over your life in the Name of Jesus is a powerful act to counteract a curse. Jabez broke the curse of his name and God enlarged his territory. Think of how much God wants to enlarge your territory. Trust God and seek His face to get your blessing.

Have a blessed day everyone and keep praying, keep studying the Word and trust God with all your needs. God meets you when you call on His Name.

May the Joy of the Lord be with you today, in Jesus Name! God Bless!

“Why do you believe?” – Recruitment Strategies from Unbelievers

Hello People!

Today, I want to talk about “remaining grounded in your faithWhen I was in middle school, I had just gotten saved after my mum gave me some books regarding spiritual warfare because when I was growing up, I faced many battles with sickness and spiritual oppression from forces I could not see (eg, my body would twist on its own in an attempt to snap my neck and there was a time I was about to completely levitate off my bed but I had to fight what I could not see with all my strength that I became so emotionally, spiritually and physically drained from fighting something I could not see all night long).

Image result for spiritual deliveranceThere was one incident where I had slept walked into the kitchen (in Kenya) and had picked up a kitchen knife and had pointed it to my chest. I was seemingly in a trance state when this had happened and fortunately, my late grandmother had come into the room completely freaked out and shouted at me saying “What are you DOING???!!!!”. At that point I snapped out of it and saw that I had a kitchen knife pointed to my chest and my grandmother was definitely freaking out on me. She seemed calm initially but I knew that she was totally angry with me and told me to “Put that knife down!” with an authoritative voice that I was so scared that I did what she asked me to do. For the life of me, I don’t even know how I got to the kitchen since my bedroom was located on the second floor of the house. I thought I was going to get a smack down but she came and hugged me and drew me away from the kitchen. I guess she knew that there was something spiritually wrong with me at the time because a lot of bizarre things would happen to me that she monitored me a lot. I didn’t know what was going on, but that is why knowledge is power. If I had known what I know now, I think I would have suffered less back then.

These types of things used to happen to me when I was living in Kenya. And that is where I realized I had developed a strong spiritual sensitivity to things that were going on around me. I had extremely sharp discernment as a child because I could literally see evil spirits operating in some people, but at that time, I didn’t know what it was that I was seeing because I lacked knowledge. All I know is that these spiritual attacks that I experienced helped me strengthen my ability to be able to tell the difference between genuine individuals and evil individuals (this is called discernment).

I think that the Lord allowed me to go through this hell so that I could sharpen my discernment for the future. So when I see a movie like The Exorcist and all of that, I sympathize with the demoniacally oppressed girl, because to some extent, I was going through similar things. Sometimes I would faint, feel confusion, puke blood or have difficulty sleeping because I would be oppressed all night long from a force I could not see. These oppressive experiences affected my ability to concentrate and would sometimes leave me feeling “zoned out”. To the undiscerning individual, I may have just appeared to be lazy or something, but I was physically, spiritually and emotionally exhausted from fighting all night long with something I could not see. I ended up being pretty suicidal too because I wanted all of this oppression to end but I didn’t know how to end it. This is why it is important to gain knowledge about the things you do not know because it will preserve your life. If I had not received the answers concerning why I was being oppressed by spiritual forces I could not see as soon as I did, I think I would have ultimately committed suicide just to end the torment and some of you wouldn’t be reading this blog, you’d be reading an epitaph, but praise God, that is not the case 😀 .

My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge, I also will reject you from being priest for Me; Because you have forgotten the law of your God, I also will forget your children.

Image result for spiritual deliverance

I praise God for blessing me with the answers that I needed at the right time through my mum at the time that I truly needed it, otherwise this post wouldn’t have existed. I guess that’s why I’m interested in deliverance ministry in particular. There are certain things that open doors for demonic oppression to operate in a person’s life. Some of these things could be from undeserved punishment (i.e. physical, verbal and/or sexual abuse), bloodline sins (i.e. if you have a history of relatives who practiced witchcraft, voodoo, wicca, the black arts etc), personal sins (willful disobedience – engaging in activities that could lead you to be oppressed such as abusing drugs, illicit sexual misconduct, illegal activities – stealing, murder, rape etc), all of these types of activities open doors for demonic oppression to operate in a persons life. If not on the primary offender, it can fall on the third and forth generation of the offender. This is called Iniquity.

you shall not bow down to them nor serve them. For I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children to the third and fourth generations of those who hate Me,

keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, by no means clearing the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children and the children’s children to the third and the fourth generation.”

‘The Lord is longsuffering and abundant in mercy, forgiving iniquity and transgression; but He by no means clears the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children to the third and fourth generation.

you shall not bow down to them nor serve them. For I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children to the third and fourth generations of those who hate Me,

Sometimes people face spiritual oppression in their lives and in their homes undeservingly because they are simply unaware of the bloodline sins that have been passed down to them from generation to generation because of a sinful act performed by some relative in their past. Such sins don’t leave the generational line until it has punished someone. That is why REPENTANCE is key to an individuals deliverance from such spiritual oppression. You may not have been the primary offender that opened the door to such oppression, but it is important to seek the Lord to forgive your family for opening up any doors that lead any of your family members to be oppressed by forces that they cannot see in the first place.

James 5:16 [Full Chapter]

Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much

please let Your ear be attentive and Your eyes open, that You may hear the prayer of Your servant which I pray before You now, day and night, for the children of Israel Your servants, and confess the sins of the children of Israel which we have sinned against You. Both my father’s house and I have sinned.

Image result for Rebecca Brown MD booksIf you are going through some difficult times and are wondering where the source of all your problems are coming from, consider that there maybe some bloodline sins that may have been committed by a past family member that could be contributing to some of the problems you are facing today. Poverty is also a curse that can operate in a family line because of iniquity that has not been confessed to. Sometimes, people are unable to prosper because of certain curses still operating in their generational line. You go to work but you still can’t make enough and you’re constantly in an endless cycle of borderline poverty because something is capping your ability to prosper. These are also signs of a generational/bloodline curse(s) operating in your life. The only way to break from these curses is through the power of repentance.

Ask the Lord to forgive your family for any participation in anything that opened doors for curses to operate in your life. Ask the Lord to forgive from the third to forth generational line of curses so that your familial line is completely free from all the curses that have been passed on down the line and into your life. The Lord will deliver you and your household when you seek Him for divine restoration, forgiveness and order in your life. Renounce any participation known or unknown in the things of the occult, which also includes the reading of horoscopes, going to hand readings, participation using the Ouija board, using magic etc etc. All of these types of things open up unnecessary doors for hell to operate in your life. Repentance is the key to salvation.

Image result for rebecca brown md booksI remember, when I lived in China, there was this art teacher that really wanted to recruit me into the “Ba’hai faith”. He didn’t like my so-called Christianity and faith in God so he often harassed me in the sense by mocking me of my faith in God and tried everything he could possibly do to shake my faith in God. A part of me was like “Listen buddy, if you’ve only known the hell I’ve been through and the deliverance I’ve experienced through the power of God, you’d understand why I believe the way that I do”. He was hell bent on shaking my faith in God but I stood my ground. It was kind of bizarre to me why he was so hell bent on shaking my faith. I couldn’t understand for the life of me why he was obsessed with me, because even a guy friend that I had in the same art class noticed this teacher’s strange behaviour towards me and thought I should “watch out”. That’s why I say to you parents, do not be passive and oblivious about the goings ons with your children. There are people out there targeting your children to lead them astray. You have to remain vigilant and teach your children to stay on the right path no matter how many people try to lead them astray. It is your responsibility to teach a child in the way that they should go so that they do not depart from it.

Train up a child in the way he should go, And when he is old he will not depart from it.

This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.

Well I think I’ve written quite a bit today with respect to the topic of spiritual warfare. This is just some food for thought and if any of you have questions, please holla! If any of you would like some book recommendations on the topic of spiritual warfare, you can also holla! I have many book recommendations. I would definitely recommend Rebecca Brown MD’s Books He Came to set the Captives Free; Unbroken Curses; Prepare for War and Vessels of Honor. There are more books I could recommend but these were the first ones I read that spiritually empowered me to loose myself from the spiritual oppression I had experienced most of my life and would recommend these ones first to anybody. Happy reading and God bless everybody! 😀

I’ve been thinking about what I should write about lately because I have so many things I want to write about but I think one thing I should speak on is about the diluted Word that is being spoken in churches nowadays. I’m not saying that every church speaks a diluted Word to their congregation, but I think that what we need to speak about is with respect to spiritual warfare. I do believe in teaching people about Godly living etc, because that is indeed necessary; however, we also need to confront the issue of dealing with spiritual warfare, especially in North America.

I find that these days, youth in particular are being introduced into a lot of activities that don’t line up with God’s Word where I find that some are engaging in activities related to New Age Movements and subtle forms of witchcraft. This promotes rebellious behaviour and invites demonic oppression to influence their lives as they continue to engage in activities that do not line up with God’s word.

When I was in middle school, I knew people who took drugs, drank alcohol, slept around and engaged in weird activities such as wicca and witchcraft related activities etc and can tell you that their lives have never been the same since then. Even when I warned people not to participate in some of these activities, some people ignored me and went on to do whatever it is that they wanted to do because they were rebellious in behaviour. No one could tell them what to do and when to do it because no one could “run their lives”. I believe some of them thought I was a “goodie-two-shoes” type of chick, but I simply don’t care how they viewed me, I was more concerned about their souls. Some of the individuals that I tried to mentor came from broken families or single-parent homes and either dropped out of high school because of pregnancy or drug-related issues or illegal activities that got them arrested. However, there were those that listened to me who also allowed me to mentor them with their studies and were able to stop their downward spiral into hell and actually graduate high school with honors. You don’t have to accept a defeatist way of life when God gives you the option to travel on a road that will lead you to prosper.

In the Bible, it is mentioned that “Wisdom cries out in the streets”, but who pays attention?

Wisdom cries aloud in the street, she raises her voice in the markets

Job 28:28

And to man He said, ‘Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom, And to depart from evil is understanding.’”

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom; A good understanding have all those who do His commandments. His praise endures forever.

I remember mentoring a student that was failing miserably and encouraged them by speaking positively into their lives and making them believe in themselves which helped them to do better in their studies. One student I tried mentoring gave me a hard time because he would run off each time I was supposed to mentor him because he was resigned to his failure and didn’t believe anyone could help him graduate . The teachers had given up on the student as well and thought that by offering me extra credit as an incentive to mentor him would eliminate their need to having to deal with this student. I gladly accepted their offer for the extra credit as the incentive to mentor him since they had given up trying to deal with him because I thought to myself “How hard could this be?”.  Boy, did I never see what I had accepted coming.

I remember giving this kid a piece of my mind for running away whenever I had to mentor him and shouted at him for wasting my lunch time looking for him everywhere because I was supposed to mentor him as per the teachers request. I know that he was depressed because he had failed a grade and he didn’t think that he had anything to look forward to because he had resigned himself to being a failure that could not succeed in doing anything, which was a lie that he had chosen to believe whole heartedly even though it was not the truth. He needed to understand that running away from your problems doesn’t mean you are facing your issues. You have to confront that which you fear and face it head on. You can only overcome, when you face what you fear in the face. I gave him a hard time because from what I understand, he’s had various tutors that tried to tutor him but because he kept running away all the time they gave up on him. I on the other hand did not give up on him. I stalked the guy until he couldn’t run away from me anymore. Sometimes, when I look back on the things I did, I think to myself “Wow Sherline, I can’t believe you did that!” lol. At the time, I didn’t really care that I chased him around, because I believed in my heart that this kid was hurting and needed to know that he could achieve success if he tried.

Long story short, I caught him and he no longer ran away from me anymore because he knew I could find him even if he tried to hide. I was pretty relentless so he stopped wasting my time and let me tutor him. After a month of tutoring him, his grades shot up from a D average to a B Average. By the time I was done with him, he was an A average student. He could not believe he could achieve such results. He started to respect me and was grateful that I didn’t give up on him even though he thought he couldn’t make it. I believe that God is like that with us. Sometimes, we resign ourselves to our failures and assume that just because we have failed in something we define ourselves on the basis of that failure. God doesn’t see us in that light. He sees your full potential and where you can actually go if you apply yourself. You are more than what you think you are. You are an overcomer. You can win, you can achieve great things. You may face setbacks, sickness, stumbling blocks, disappointments, and different kinds of hurdles, but nothing can truly stop you from achieving success. The only thing that can stop you is your defeatist mind-set. Just because you fall down, doesn’t mean you have to stay down. You can get up again.  Jesus died for us, but guess what, He rose up from the dead for us . So we all have the ability to rise up from our ashes and dust ourselves off from the past that can’t hold you down from your prosperous future. The resurrecting power of Christ enables us to overcome every defeat and failure we have ever faced and rise from the ashes.

I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

How we view the concept of “Failure” will determine whether or not we can rise from the ashes. The resurrecting power of Christ should tell you that you can rise from any failure that you face. Your mindset is what you must guard with respect to any obstacle that you face in this lifetime. I have faced my own kinds of hurdles, but the one thing I have decided to do is to keep on going. You know that saying that says “When the going gets tough, the tough keep going”. That is what we ought to do. Just because you hit the ground doesn’t mean that you have to stay there. You can get up again because you have the resurrecting power of Jesus Christ living inside of you that enables you to rise up from the ashes of defeat. Do not allow naysayers to keep you in the realm of defeat when the power of God is saying “Get up and Go!” You have the ability to overcome. All you need to do is believe in yourself. Believe that you have Christ in you, the hope of Glory.

To them God willed to make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles: which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.

I have two songs that are off the hook by Blanca where the first one is called Greater is He to encourage your spirit today.

The second song by Blanca is called Who I Am. I pray that these songs uplift you and encourage you today. God Bless Everybody! 😀
