The Two Words that are Difficult to Obey

Hello Peeps!

I wanted to post this inspiring video that has a speech spoken by Dr. Charles Swindoll. The full sermon can be seen by clicking here, however, for today, I’m just posting a shortened version of his sermon. It is pretty inspirational and I’m sure it’ll bless you today. The two most difficult words that people have a difficult time obeying are “Trust GOD”. You know, just thinking about it makes me agree with that statement.

Related imageSometimes we try to work things out according to our own might, power and intellect, but sometimes, these things can be done in vain. When we’ve exhausted all our man-powered resources to fix a problem, they’ll come a point where we realize that our own might and power is just not sufficient to solve the most complex of problems that only the Almighty God can.

The question is, will we lean on Him when the time comes for it? We need to learn to surrender to God when it gets difficult in our lives and we need to learn how to pray and seek God’s face when we can’t work things out with our own might and power. Only God can point us in the right direction at the end of the day when we’ve exhausted all of our human intellect to solve problems that really require a personal touch of the supernatural. However, not many believe in miracles and therefore won’t seek any if they are heavily reliant on what is tangible. Many things can fail us in this life, but God’s love never fails.

Proverbs 3:5-6 [Full Chapter]

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.

When you listen to this shortened version of this sermon, think about what it is that holds you back from surrendering to Christ Jesus. It is through Him that we are able to overcome the things of this World, so as Christians, continue to seek the Lord’s Help in everything that you go through. Do not rely on your human understanding and call on the name of the Lord. I pray that this video blesses you today. God Bless You Everybody! 😀

For “whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.”

Love On Fire

Hello Peeps!

Related imageI just had to post this awesome song by Jeremy Riddle called Love on Fire. I’ve nearly finished 3 months in my new Job and have lots of things to give God praise for that I felt like this song really ministered to me. After going through a rough 2 years trying to recover from a sickness that affected my memories (encephalitis), I have so many things to be thankful to God for. I pray that as you listen to this song, it will minister to you. Always give God the highest praise for not just the big things He accomplishes in your life, but also include the small things as well. That’s how you build a heart of gratitude and not take things for granted in life. Every moment is a gift from God so cherish every moment, cherish every person you encounter and remember that tomorrow is not promised but each day is a gift from God, so treat each day with that in mind. I pray that this song ministers to you today. God Bless You Everybody! 🙂

Over All I Know

Hello Peeps!

I just had to post this awesome song by Vertical Worship called Over All I Know. This song sounds amazing in surround sound. If you have BOSE headphones or some good headphones that captures really good surround sound, you’ll love hearing this song with those headphones. There is no higher name than the name of JESUS! Circumstances can push you to a corner, things can come crashing down in your life, lots of things can toss you into a place filled with uncertainty; however, how may people lean on God when such things happen?

In every situation that you find yourself in, don’t ever forget the Name of Jesus. The Name of Jesus is so powerful, that even Demons flee at the Name.

You believe that there is one God. You do well. Even the demons believe—and tremble!

The Name of Jesus can calm many storms that may rage in your life. The Name of Jesus can bring about healing to your sickness. The Name of Jesus can restore those broken relationships that you have in your life. In fact, the Name of Jesus is so powerful, that we actually don’t realize how powerful it really is since many people say the name “Jesus” in vain when their upset or angry… and therefore, render the name of Jesus is something more than a swear word. Unfortunately, such people are just saying His name in Vain and therefore, cannot understand the true power behind that name when they say it in vain.

You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain, for the Lord will not hold him guiltless who takes His name in vain.

Image result for healed in JesusWe should not say the Lord’s name in vain as Christians, but sometimes we do and I’m guilty of it myself. The fact that the Lord will not hold us guiltless for doing so should put the fear of God in you. When you think of the deeper revelation of Jesus’ name, the fact is people can be healed, delivered and set free from whatever oppresses them when the call on the name of Jesus. I know that whenever I’ve been stressed out or anxious about something, I turn to prayer and all the time, the Lord has come through for me because of this basic understanding that there is Power behind the Name of Jesus. So for today, repent of the times you used the Lord’s Name in Vain and consider that because there is so much power behind it, we should rather Honor the Lord in our prayer and in our lives with what we say and do, Amen. I pray that this song I have posted here today, ministers to your spirit. God Bless You Everybody! 😀

God of the Impossible

Hello Peeps!

I’ve been reminiscing about the awesomeness of God in my life lately. For those that don’t really know me, I’ll just do a short round up of what I’ve experienced in life. I’ve lived in several countries since the age of 4. The first place I lived in was in Berlin, Germany during the time when the Berlin wall was broken down to unite the east and west of Germany in 1989. I was pretty young back then, but I do remember that event being a very big deal when growing up. It’s only when I was older that I finally understood the significance of that event which occurred in 1989. Families that were divided by a wall could now reunite once a barrier was broken. If you think of this in a spiritual sense, there maybe barriers in your life that you are facing right now, and they may seem to be walls that are hard to tear down; however, with God on your side, not even a wall can keep you from fulfilling your destiny. If a wall that was intended to keep the East and West of Germany divided forever was torn down in 1989, then don’t you think that God can remove any barrier that presents itself as an obstacle in your life to move forward and operate at your full potential? God is able to do the seemingly impossible for you in your life if you just believe.

To continue on with a short summary of my life, I have also lived, in Australia, Kenya, China, and now reside as a citizen in Canada. After having lived in several countries, I’ve learned from experience, that we are easily apt to identify what is impossible to us if we remain focused on the barriers and hindrances we encounter in our journey to somewhere great. If we want to believe that nothing is impossible for us to achieve, we have to shift our mindset and perception of circumstances we face in our daily lives.

  • What may be perceived as an obstacle to one person, one will view as an opportunity.
  • What one may see as a blockage, another will see a passageway.
  • What one may see as a problem, another will derive at a solution all based on ones perception to a situation.

If you think positively in all that you face and do in your life, you are most likely to arrive at solutions to a problem much faster than the person who has a negative mindset. Those that think “I can” – will. Those that think “I will” – Do. If you don’t have this mindset, you won’t be able to achieve things at your fullest potential.

Luke 1:37 [Full Chapter] – For with God nothing will be impossible.

Philippians 4:13 – I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

I can vouch for the fact that it certainly isn’t a simple task to have a positive mindset. In fact, it may be excruciatingly hard to cultivate such a mindset when bombarded with negative feedback, experiences and negative people surrounding you twenty-four-seven in your life. If you are in a situation that makes it difficult to see a light at the end of the tunnel, you may have to consider that you have to build a fight in you to break away from these negative relationships, negative associations, or the overall negative environment that you find yourself in.

Image result for God of the impossibleI remember a year ago, I was fighting emotionally, physically and spiritually to regain my memories that I had experienced loss through a viral infection I endured in the brain called encephalitis. I had to endure intense physical, emotional, and mental rehabilitation to regain my memories in order to create new synapses in my brain from the parts that were damaged from the viral infection. Losing your short-term memories, is like losing a part of your identity; however, despite all of that, I am thankful to God for His miraculous healing. It took over a year and a half to get back my personality to what it once was since short-term memory loss can affect your personality as well in that some people may register you as being not quite “all there”. Even though I went through this trial that I would never wish on anybody else, according to my family, I miraculously never forgot about God in this circumstance, and my family continued to faithfully pray for me to be restored to which I received my healing. My once suspended driver’s license was restored and people who I hadn’t seen in such a long time in my life were now reappearing back in my life again. What was used to knock me down, only made me stronger again because I held onto the belief that despite this trial I was facing, God was and will always be with me.

Do you believe that God is always with you in your situations?

I feel that when we face a trial, we can easily be distracted and consumed with self-pity rather than remembering how God is able to take us through the fire like He did with Shadrach, Meshach and Abed-Nego in Daniel 3 .When you stand on the belief that God is able to take you through any trial victoriously, you will focus less on the discomfort, the pain, the betrayal, the hopelessness you may feel in your situation when you stand firm in your faith that God can take you through any of your circumstances if you simply believe. I’m not joking when I say that my recovery from this sickness was excruciatingly hard and difficult to endure, but when I consider that statistically, not many people recover from what I’ve had to endure (according to my doctor) successfully, I have to give God the highest praise for the miraculous work He has done in my life.

Image result for God of the impossibleI remember meeting up with a friend of mine this past week that I hadn’t seen in a few years and she couldn’t believe my story about having been sick and being in hospital and going through rehab for the past year and a half. Just because you’ve been in a fiery furnace doesn’t mean you have to smell like smoke when God takes you out of that trial in your life. That’s what I learned from the Shadrach, Meshach and Abed-Nego story. Just because you may go through hell sometimes in life doesn’t mean you have to smell and look like you’ve been through it if you believe that God is able to take you out of it. You have to truly believe that God is able to do all things for you in your life. In my experience, I feel like I learned a lot about what endurance is, what perseverance is and who is really real with you when you go through a severe trial. What was meant to destroy you yesterday, will only make you stronger today when you have God on your side. You just have to remain faithful in your belief that God is able to revive, recover, and restore you, even when you feel broken. God will heal you and make you whole again, Amen. I pray that as you listen to this song by Lincoln Brewster today, just remember that God is with you always, Amen! God Bless You Everybody! 🙂

Faithful Everyday – I Will Wait

Hello Peeps!

I just have two amazing songs to bless your spirit today. The first song is by David Dunn called Grace Will Lead Me Home.

Image result for Hagar and sarahThe last song I also have for you is by Lincoln Brewster  called While I Wait. I feel that the last song really ministered to me because how many of you can’t stand waiting for something that is promised to you to come? Whether it be a promotion, a job, a spouse, or hoping to have children or birth a business, etc etc…. God knows what the desires we have in our hearts are before we even ask Him, but that doesn’t mean as people, we may not be impatient to receiving these promises and take things into our own hands. Remember in the Book of Genesis when Moses and Sarah where waiting to birth Isaac, the child of promise, but then Sarah got impatient and felt like God had forgotten her and had suggested that her husband (Moses) lie with her servant Hagar to birth him a son to continue Moses’ genealogy? The idea seemed to make human sense to Sarah, but God new that there would be implications to such a suggestion unbeknown-st to Sarah. Unfortunately, Sarah was desperate and discouraged that she didn’t think this suggestion would affect her marriage in any way… Unfortunately, as you read on…you will see how much strife brewed after agreeing to do things Sarah’s way rather than waiting on God’s way to fulfill a promise.

Sarah’s servant Hagar did inevitably birth a son to Moses and named him Ishmael Genesis 16 , however, Sarah’s impatience and inability to trust God caused her to make this life changing mistake. Because Hagar was able to produce a son for Moses, Hagar used Sarah’s insecurities as a woman to taunt Sarah and make fun of her for her presumed infertility. Hagar simply assumed that Sarah would never be able to give birth to a child for Moses despite being his wife considering that Sarah was beyond child-bearing years to do so. HOWEVER, but God PEOPLE! BUT GOD!!!!!

Genesis 21:1-7

Isaac Is Born

21 And the Lord visited Sarah as He had said, and the Lord did for Sarah as He had spoken. For Sarah conceived and bore Abraham a son in his old age, at the set time of which God had spoken to him. And Abraham called the name of his son who was born to him—whom Sarah bore to him—Isaac.[a] Then Abraham circumcised his son Isaac when he was eight days old, as God had commanded him. Now Abraham was one hundred years old when his son Isaac was born to himAnd Sarah said, “God has [b]made me laugh, and all who hear will laugh with me.” She also said, “Who would have said to Abraham that Sarah would nurse children? For I have borne him a son in his old age.”

God showed Hagar and Sarah that He is a God that is able to pull what seemed to be impossible and make it possible to those that BELIEVE. Sarah did give birth to Isaac as promised and this caused strife and enmity between her and Hagar. As a result of this strife, Hagar was then told by Moses to leave them as a result. In thinking about the end result of Sarah’s impatience and unbelief, what can you learn about this based on her situation? In reference to Hagar who taunted Sarah mercilessly, there’s this saying that goes, He who laughs first, laughs last. Just because people around you don’t see where it is that you are going, and poke fun at you based on how they see right now, doesn’t mean that what they say trumps what God will actually do for you if you put your complete TRUST IN THE LORD.

But Jesus looked at them and said to them, “With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.

Jesus said to him, “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.

But Jesus looked at them and said, “With men it is impossible, but not with God; for with God all things are possible.

And He said, “Abba, Father, all things are possible for You. Take this cup away from Me; nevertheless, not what I will, but what You will.

Image result for Worship God

Image result for Worship GodAlthough I used the birth of a child as an example, it is applicable to you in different aspects of your life. Like I said, it could apply to those who are waiting to birth a business idea, a child, or waiting for the right relationships to enter into your life to take you to where you ought to go in your destiny.

My message to you is that God hasn’t forgotten you even if you feel like you’ve been abandoned, forsaken, and waiting for a long time for a breakthrough. God is with you every step you take in your journey. While you wait, Trust in God and Worship Him as the song by Lincoln Brewster emphasizes. God is Faithful everyday, so just know that every promise God has for you, He is the One Who is sure to bring everything that He has for you to completion. So in the mean time, what do you do while waiting? The answer is simple….continue to Worship Him (GOD) Everyday. Worship God in Spirit and in Truth and God will definitely answer you in His Divine Timing. The question is, are you willing to Worship God while waiting? Think about that today as you listen to this song. God Bless You Everybody!

God Only Knows…

Hello Peeps!

I know I haven’t posted much lately. I must say being back in the workforce has me remembering the need to sleep early just to get up and go to work the next morning. I am so looking forward to my long weekend right about now 🙂 . Today, I heard this song by for King & Country called God Only Knows. I feel like this song is my jam right about now. I feel that it’ll minister to you today. Sometimes when you think no one else understands you, just remember that God is the One who is able to understand you better than anyone else.

I get the feeling that people are entering into a transitional period of their lives as we hit the end of the third quarter of this year. Some of you are probably noticing the signs that something is causing you to feel the need to shift into something different, or probably to close a door that needs to be shut closed, whether it be a wrong opportunity, a dead-end relationship, or even if it were to move into another destination, be it local or international in scope. The signs are everywhere for you to make a decision but some people may refuse to acknowledge the signs that it’s time for you to make a change. You can only embrace something new if you’re willing to let go of what is past and in the past. You can’t bring old baggage to a new destination, so assess what is holding you back from moving forward when opportunities are knocking at our door right now. Can you recognize these doors of opportunities that God is opening up in your life right now? If you can’t, then pray about it.

Something is telling you to make a move but you keep sitting on the fence about your decisions. There’s nothing worse than being indecisive about what you want to do and where you want to go in your life. If you ever feel like you have no idea where you ought to go…this is where prayer becomes effective. Pray to God to give you direction as to where you ought to go. Various people in your life can offer you advice…but at the end of the day, you have to trust in the leading of the Holy Spirit even when what you feel led to do doesn’t make any sense to others. Think of Noah and the Ark story… He was told to build something that hadn’t been made before in order to save many lives to a flood that hadn’t happened before. But rather than listening to the ridicule and mockery at those that poked fun at him, Noah chose to trust in God’s leading and the result of his faith was that he was able to save not only all the animals, but those that believed in what he was doing which included his family.

Psalm 101:6 My eyes shall be on the faithful of the land, That they may dwell with me; He who walks in a perfect way, He shall serve me.

I believe that some people will be asked to do something that doesn’t make sense to them by the Holy Spirit’s leading. My advice to anyone reading this, is to always do what the Lord lead’s you to do even when it doesn’t make sense to others. The Holy Spirit has many ways to inspire someone to act in faith; the question is, will you trust in the Lord’s leading when asked to do something that hasn’t been done before? What is the measure of your faith? You have to work on increasing it so that you can be able to do what seems impossible to others; God will make it possible for you who believes.

I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

I pray that as you listen to this song, be encouraged to believe that God already knows what you are capable of achieving. It’s up to us to believe we can do ALL things through Christ who give us strength, Amen! I pray that this song blesses you today. God Bless You Everybody! 😀

Stepping into Your Purpose

Hello Peeps!

I just wanted to post this awesome song by Y’Anna called The Promise. It talks about God’s promises and stepping into your purpose. Do you know what your purpose is here on Earth? Some people go living life feeling lost about why they are here on Earth and try to find answers in other religions and philosophies, including through science. The thing is, you were created for the one soul purpose to Worship God in all that you do.

Image result for walking with God

How do you worship God in all that you do? By acting justly, loving and showing mercy, living with integrity and knowing that the Lord sent His only begotten Son Jesus, to suffer and die on the cross for the remission of out sins and that in three days after Jesus was buried, He rose from the dead in fulfillment of the scriptures. Death lost it’s victory and it lost its sting because Jesus wants us to have life, and live it more abundantly. So think about these promises of God and read your Bible to know how much the Lord loves each and everyone of us. I pray that as you listen to this song, may it bless your Spirit in Jesus’ Name, Amen! God Bless You Everybody! 🙂

Image result for living with addiction free picsLiving with addiction is difficult at the best of times; sometimes, you may think you’ve gotten to a point where you feel strong enough to beat it, and then a big life change happens to set you back. Dealing with those feelings can be overwhelming, even if you have a sponsor or support group to talk to, so it’s important to find healthy ways to battle substance abuse and get into a good headspace.

There are many ways you can take care of yourself while living in recovery–physically, mentally, and emotionally–and it’s important to incorporate these good habits into your everyday routine to make them easier to follow.

Here are a few of the best ways to battle substance abuse and its effects.

Image result for service animal free pictures

Consider getting a service animal

Service dogs are wonderful companions for individuals who are battling depression and other mental health issues, and this goes for people in recovery, too. These dogs can not only be trained to help you with physical issues, but studies have shown that simply petting a dog can lower blood pressure and relieve anxiety.

Get into a good routine

Having a healthy routine can be extremely helpful when you’re in recovery. This includes getting in daily exercise, which can release hormones in your body that make you feel good, as well as eating a well-balanced diet and getting enough sleep. All of these things are very important when it comes to staying happy and well.

Try to make these healthy habits part of your routine every day. Do your grocery shopping for the week on Sunday and buy enough to make several good meals and lunches, and if you have time, cook some up that night to stick in the fridge. That way, you can grab a pre-made lunch instead of stopping for fast food, and you’ll have a healthy dinner waiting for you when you get home.

Exercise is a key component when you want to feel better and take up healthier habits.

If you feel you don’t have enough time in the day to get in a workout, consider setting your alarm for just fifteen minutes earlier than usual and do some aerobics before you hop in the shower and go to work, then go for a brisk walk on your lunch break or after dinner that evening. Breaking up the workout is okay as long as you get about thirty minutes of exercise per day.

Practice self-care

Image result for self careAddiction can take a significant toll on your body, so once you’re in recovery, self-care becomes essential. It can be anything from doing something that makes you feel relaxed to making time for your friends and loved ones. Whatever makes you feel good in a healthy, positive way should be practiced as often as possible, so book an appointment for a massage, or make plans for a long lunch with your closest friend. Carve time out of your schedule to take a long, hot bath before bed, or go to the local park and play a game of basketball with your friends.

Find support

You may already have a sponsor or counselor, but sometimes that’s not enough. If you feel you need more time to talk, consider seeking out a support group or therapist to help you get through those dark times when addiction feels ever-present. You might also seek help and support from your family members or close friends, as long as you feel comfortable with it.

Image result for bad influence quotesGet rid of bad influences

When a person is struggling with addiction and is in recovery, it’s important to make sure there are only positive influences around. If you are still in contact with people you spent time with

pre-recovery, you might find that seeing them makes you want to use again. Surround yourself with people who understand how important it is for you to stay sober.

Remember that everyone must take recovery one day at a time. If you feel you’ve taken a step backwards, think about the events that led you to that point and make a promise to yourself to incorporate some positive changes. Reach out to your support system for help, and don’t forget to take good care of yourself along the way.

Your Great Name!

Hello Peeps!

Today, I just wanted to post this awesome song by Todd Dulaney called Your Great Name & Holy Ghost Fire. Worship is the most powerful form of praise unto God and as a Christian, I feel that worship is not just about singing our praises unto God, it’s a lifestyle we maintain. We worship God when we honor Him with our lips, we honor Him with our actions, we Honor Him through how we live our lives. We aren’t perfect but we certainly do have a Perfect God who is able to sympathize with our weaknesses. It is in our weaknesses that He says we can be strong.

For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin.

Beat your plowshares into swords And your pruning hooks into spears; Let the weak say, ‘I am strong.’ ”

So enjoy this song of worship that I’ve put on here today. I pray that it blesses your Spirit today. God Bless You Everybody!

Psalm 23 (I Am Not Alone)

Hello Peeps!

Happy Sunday! I just had to post this awesome song by People & Songs Feat. Josh Sherman called Psalm 23 (I Am Not Alone).

This song comes from David’s Song of songs (Psalm) found in the NIV version of:

Psalm 23

Related imageA psalm of David.

The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing.
He makes me lie down in green pastures,
he leads me beside quiet waters,
    he refreshes my soul.
He guides me along the right paths
    for his name’s sake.
Even though I walk
    through the darkest valley,[a]
I will fear no evil,
    for you are with me;
your rod and your staff,
    they comfort me.

You prepare a table before me
in the presence of my enemies.
You anoint my head with oil;
    my cup overflows.
Surely your goodness and love will follow me
all the days of my life,
and I will dwell in the house of the Lord

  1. Psalm 23:4 Or the valley of the shadow of death

Whenever you are faced with a trial or circumstance that may appear to be dire to you, this is when as Christians, we need to learn to lean on the Lord even more for His Help, His Guidance, and His Comfort. Sometimes when we are distracted with the going’s ons of life, we tend to forget God as we start to progress in life. It is a great thing to prosper, because God does want us to be in good health and prosper as our soul prospers as is written in the following verse of Scripture:

Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.

However, our soul can only prosper if we are aligned to God’s will for our lives. In all the things that God blesses us with, we must never forget who our Redeemer is. Our Redeemer is Jesus Christ and as Christians, we must always remember that our lives were purchased at a heavy price that Christ paid in full through His blood so that we could live victorious lives in the knowledge of who and whose we are in Christ Jesus. Your soul is your heart and mind and whatever you think in your heart becomes your ultimate reality. So it is important to guard our hearts above all else so that we can meditate on things that are lovely, worthy of note, and of good report.

Remember to put on the whole armor of God in your prayer life each day and surrender to God’s will for your life each day. Sometimes I often wonder if I’m heading in the right direction in my own life, but when I pray, God always brings clarity to my situation and shows me through various signs and wonders that I’m heading in the right direction.

Sometimes, the way God directs us in the right direction for our destinies, He chooses to shut down the wrong relationships, jobs, places and associations we once had that we thought were good for us and then He starts to open up doors to the least likely of opportunities to connect with people we never thought we’d have access too. The question is, are you humble enough to allow God to shut the wrong doors in your life without complaint and for Him to guide you to the right places that will lead to the divine connections you need to align yourself to for your future?

This is a question that the Holy Spirit posed to me and now I pose the same question back to all you readers of my blog. Are you ready for God to take you to places that you never thought you’d have access too? Are you ready for the NEW things He wants you to embark upon? Are you willing to transform your life by walking by faith and not by what you are so accustomed to seeing with your very own eyes? Ask yourselves these questions today. I have posted this song to encourage you today as you meditate on where you find yourself in your relationship with God. How much do you trust God to direct your path? Ask yourself these questions today and enjoy this song. God Bless You Everybody! 🙂
