I just had to post this song by Christ Tofilon called You Shine. This song sounds amazing in Spanish. In fact, I think it sounds better in Spanish. that I’ll put the Spanish one at the bottom so that you can hear the difference. I love how this song emphasizes how the Lord Shines. The Lord isthe Light of the Worldand a lamp unto our feet. He is the One that directs our paths and makes our ways straight. Think of these following scriptures as you listen to this song.
Numbers 6:25 – The Lord make His face shine upon you, And be gracious to you;
Psalm 119:135– Make Your face shine upon Your servant, And teach me Your statutes.
Matthew 5:16– Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.
Here is the Spanish version called Mas Que el Sol. I pray that this song blesses your spirit today! God Bless You Everyone! 🙂
I have this amazing song by Todd Dulaney feat. Nicole Harris called Your Great Name. This version of the song is so amazing on surround sound that I play it quite loud when I’m driving in my car. It just pumps you up and encourages you to remember the Name of the Lord. How many of you know that there is Power when we call on the Name of Jesus? I know that personally, in my prayer life, when I’m stuck or in a bind or feeling confused about something, calling on the name of Jesus has had great power in my life that it just breaks the confusion in my life and the Lord brings me answers in very unexpected ways. This has been happening to me lately, and I can say that I’m seeing it daily because I’ve learned to cultivate that relationship of trusting in Him through prayer and meditating on His Word (The Bible) and simply moving by Faith. There is great power in the Name of Jesus, and this song really captures that and emphasizes this. I pray that as you listen to this song, may it encourage you in whatever it is that you are going through. Don’t be moved by fear, be moved by Faith Amen! Remember to call on the Name of the Lord and you will be saved. God Bless You Everybody! 🙂
1 Kings 18:24 – Then you call on the name of your gods, and I will call on the name of the Lord; and the God who answers by fire, He is God.” So all the people answered and said, “It is well spoken.”
Isaiah 54:5– For your Maker is your husband, The Lord of hosts is His name; And your Redeemer is the Holy One of Israel; He is called the God of the whole earth.
Acts 2:21 – And it shall come to pass That whoever calls on the name of the Lord Shall be saved.’
Romans 10:13– For “whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.”
I have a song here sung by Passion feat. Sean Curran called Bigger Than I Thought. I feel like this is a great song that is appropriate for me to post today. Lately, I’ve been learning a lot about people for the past few weeks. I’ve also been learning what it means to have spiritual discernment, and knowing when you have your limits. I’ve learned that the Lord is showing me that when I pray, I must be strategic in what I ask for.
If the discernment level of yesterday is not sufficient for tomorrows problems, that is when you need to pray to God more to increase in the areas that you find yourself deficient. I’ve noticed that I cannot settle with my current condition, and must always have the heart of a student and keep learning more from others; but mostly, I must keep learning more about myself. I’ve learned that the best way to discern someone else, is by first learning to first discern yourself. If you cannot see the areas in your own life that require improvement, how can you show someone else how to do the same if you lack the clarity to see the areas within yourself that need Jesus?
I have learned that you can learn from people that are different from yourself. They don’t have to be a Christian to add value to your life. God has intrinsically put greatness in every person regardless of whether they believe in Him (God) or not, so as Christians, we cannot afford to be presumptuous, haughty and filled with pride to not be able to see that you can learn from people that are different from yourself.
Psalm 139:14[Full Chapter] I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Marvelous are Your works, And thatmy soul knows very well.
Such people may have a different values from yourself, but just remember that God created them too. Also, our job as Christians isn’t to condemn the world, but it is to be the example of God’s love to a world that needs to see and know that God loves them as they are and wants to draw them to become who they were meant to be, “A Child of God”. Nobody is perfect, and before we point at the speck in our brother and sister’s eye…make sure you don’t have a plank in your own.
Matthew 7:3– And why do you look at the speck in your brother’s eye, but do not consider the plank in your own eye?
Matthew 7:4– Or how can you say to your brother, ‘Let me remove the speck from your eye’; and look, a plank is in your own eye?
Luke 6:41 – And why do you look at the speck in your brother’s eye, but do not perceive the plank in your own eye?
Luke 6:42– Or how can you say to your brother, ‘Brother, let me remove the speck that is in your eye,’ when you yourself do not see the plank that is in your own eye? Hypocrite! First remove the plank from your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck that is in your brother’s eye.
It’s so important to operate with the Spirit of God’s love in whatever we do. I know that I’m not perfect at it, but that is what I strive for. And if you truly want someone to hear you and listen to you….you too have to learn to listen and hear from them too rather than simply voicing your position and your opinion. Sometimes people don’t care how much you know…they just want to know that you care. Jesus always learned to listen and hear others in the Bible before answering. Many came to accuse and test him based on his knowledge of the Torah, but Jesus always had the final word.
Sometimes, it’s not always about being right all the time, it’s about having the empathy and patience to listen rather than seeking to be heard. So in all that you do in life, always seek to do better if you know better. Try to build a patient and peaceful way to address issues rather than simply trying to voice and force your opinion onto others. I feel that for the past few weeks, I’ve learned that the discernment of yesterday is simply not enough for tomorrows problems, so strategically pray to God to help you increase in any area of your life that you find yourself deficient. He is the One that is able to supply all your needs according to his riches and Glory in Heaven.
Philippians 4:19 – And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
We just need to remember to ask for it. We have not if we ask not.
James 4:2 You lust and do not have. You murder and covet and cannot obtain. You fight and war. Yet you do not havebecause you do not ask.
People can go about getting the things they want the wrong way simply because they did not ask God to help them get the things they desire in legitimate ways. Why do you think people do corrupt things to get what they want? It’s because they simply don’t Trust God nor do they Believe in Him.
The Bible tells us this:
John 16:24Until now you have asked nothing in My name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full.
So my prayer for everyone reading this is that you must remember to include God in every plan of your life. When you are struggling, seek God through prayer to point you to the people that will guide you in the right direction. Sometimes the people God chooses to impact your life will be those that don’t believe in Him. And God is purposeful when He aligns you to people that are unbelievers… It is so that you can be the light that they have failed to see in their own world. In order to impact someones life you have to be engaged and interested in their life. Change can’t happen until you do something different. Don’t get comfortable… because comfort breeds laziness…and with laziness, breeds contempt.
Don’t be the kind of Christian that is lazy in their walk… be active and purposeful in the things that you do. People want God to use them in amazing ways…but when the time calls for it, are you up to the task? Be real with yourself. Sometimes, the things God asks us to do will force us out of our comfort zone…so we must be ready for that as well. God wants to touch lives by pushing us out there to impact those that wouldn’t have heard the message nor experienced an example of God love. Remember, people don’t care about how much you know… they care about how much you care. Demonstrate that each day, and I believe something will move in a struggling heart that wants to believe but has reasons to deny in God’s existence in their lives.
I pray that as you listen to this song, may it bless your heart and bless your spirit today. God bless you everybody! 🙂
I have this awesome song by Switch feat. Dillon Chase called Symphony. This song is just amazing on surround sound. I’ve been thinking that sometimes we can get bombarded by a lot of distractions, that make us feel like we’re passing through some kind of whirlwind called “Chaos” and “Confusion”. Whenever you feel this whirlwind that causes you to cloud your judgement when making an important “life decision”, learn to still your heart and pray to God for peace and clarity regarding a situation rather than simply opting for a rash decision. I know that through this week, I was bombarded by a lot of information and it was causing me to feel rash and emotional and uneasy because I was being moved by people’s opinions and ‘so-called’ advice when really, I had to sit myself down, shut the noise and simply pray and ask God “What does God say?” about a situation.
It’s easy to be moved by peoples judgments and opinions, but it is better to still your heart for a moment and pray to seek the Holy Spirit to give you clarity over a situation in order to make a sound judgement call. Do not be swayed too-and-fro by the mere opinions of others without taking the time to assess a situation in a quiet place away from distractions that cause you to feel confused and indecisive. That was how my week was like last week, but this Friday, I decided to shut out the noise of people’s opinions and sought to pray to the Holy Spirit about a situation I’m facing right now and was able to arrive at a sound decision.
I like this song because it’s about drowning out the noise in your life that causes you to feel chaos and confusion. You don’t need strife in your life when you can fill your soul with peace by relying on the voice of the Holy Spirit that is able to guide you to make a well informed and sound decision on any situation that calls for you to make a decision. Don’t be swayed too-and-fro from so many opinions of others without properly assessing:
What it is that you need right now?
What is it that you can do without? and
Will whatever decision you make impact you in a positive or negative way?
That is something I had to assess in order to become decisive. An opportunity to be promoted has come before me and I’ve decided to take it. When God opens a door, you may not know what’s on the other side and it may cause you to feel scared to walk through it, but understand that opportunities don’t always come often when a door opens for you to prosper. Yes, you may face challenges, but God’s will for your life will remain the same and that is:
Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
I pray that as you listen to this song today that you remember to drown out the negative feedback and noise that people come to distract your focus on the goal that God has for your life. You will succeed in all that you put your hand to do when you have God on your side, so be encouraged and remember to keep you eyes fixed on Jesus. God Bless You everybody! 🙂
I know, it’s been a long long long long time since my last post. Trust me I know. So many things are happening to me in transitions this year that when I look at the Word I had for this year… I can truly say that all the things I mentioned about 2019 in my New Year’s post as being the Year of God’s Perfect Order, I can surly testify that things have been moving at that pace. I remember my Twin sister and I telling my parents we were thinking of buying a house in December 2018 they were pretty skeptical about us being able to do that because of how unfavorable the housing market was at that time, but my sister and I felt in our Spirit that this was the right time even though the timing defied human convention and common sense. We decided to simply move by faith and by the end of January, Sharon and I had a house. We were thinking of getting a new car, and by the end of April, we had a new car. So many things we were putting into prayer were simply coming to pass that during the beginning of the New Year the Lord impressed in my spirit this one Word that He spoke to me and said, “Ask of Me and it shall be given…keep asking by Faith, and you will receive by Faith”.
So ever since I’ve heard this, I’ve been moving by faith even when it doesn’t make sense. Lots of things are shifting in my life that I feel the Lord’s favor. At the same time though, I also feel the warfare over my soul and have been reminded to remain vigilant. The friends you started with in the year may not be your friends tomorrow, and the enemies of yesterday maybe your present help for tomorrow. God is stressing that He will do the unconventional and will cause us to move at times when we least expect it.
Psalm 103:17-18 NIV But from everlasting to everlasting the Lord’s love is with those who fear him, and his righteousness with their children’s children— with those who keep his covenant and remember to obey his precepts.
If we just learn to hear and harken to His voice, He will lead us to still waters, He will direct our paths and make it straight for us if we learn to Humble ourselves, refuse to be hard-headed thinking we know it all when we really need the divine help of the Holy Spirit, and that we respect our mentors and teachers around us. I’ve been learning throughout these past few months that I want to increase in my discernment level regarding people. The discernment of yesterday is not sufficient for tomorrows troubles, so I’ve made it a goal and point to grow in this area of my life and focus on the goal ahead, forgetting the things that are behind me, I press on toward the upward call of Jesus Christ for my life. Let that be my testimony.
This song reminds me that our testimonies are derived from tests. We can choose to avoid the trials…but how else can we grow without the test. So I’ve decided to move away from the realm of fear and focus on the goal and have chosen to be brave and move forward regardless of the naysayers, the discouragers and the people that want to see you fail in life. Focus on God and He will make a way out of no way for you to prosper and be in good health as your soul prospers. This whole thing, is about meeting people you have to impact on your road to progress and advancement. People need to encounter the Christ inside of you in order for you to be an impact in their lives. I’m learning the areas that I find myself feeling a bit immature…but God is placing strategic people around me to mature in this area of my life. I pray that you seek that for yourself too. May this song by the Social Club Misfits feat. Crowder called Testify bless your spirit today people. God Bless You! 🙂
I had to post this song by Elevation Worship called Won’t Stop Now. My favourite part of the song is the keyboard because I know one of the musicians playing on it used to attend the church I used to go to and he sounds amazing with these peeps! Shout out to LJ Mitchell! 🙂
I love the message of this song that talks about seeing miracles by faith and knowing that a breakthrough is coming. I believe that these things are happening even now for people that have been pressing through difficult times and situations thrust upon them that cause them to stumble and fall. Do not rely on your own intelligence to get through a trial. Rely on the One that is able to walk with you in it, and through it and out of it. Jesus will give you the guidance you need to be able to overcome. Just remember this piece of scripture to encourage you when you are faced with a situation that seems dire and when you really just need an answer, a clear answer from God. I pray that this song from Elevation will bless your spirit today. God Bless You Everybody! 🙂
Matthew 7:7-8[Full Chapter] [ Keep Asking, Seeking, Knocking ] “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.
Today, I just want to post this amazing song sung by Elevation Worship called Here With You.There is something about being in the presence of God that satisfies my soul. For me worship is what gets me in His Presence. I pray that as you listen to this song, may it fill you and minister to you today. So much has happened in my life within a short period of time this year that it’s amazing that we’ve just only ended the first quarter and started the 2nd quarter of this year. I believe that a lot of things are shifting in this season as we are entering into the Spring season of this year for those that live in the Northern Hemisphere. I believe that in this season, New things will start to emerge in people’s lives. New positioning, new friends, new opportunities as we enter into this New Season that the Lord is Springing us into.
The most important thing about this season is to involve God in all of your plans. In fact, God should be a part of every plan you have in your life so be prepared to move when He tells you to move and be prepared to shift when He tells you to shift. When you follow what you are led in your heart to do by the leading of the Holy Spirit, you will prosper as you step out in faith. Sometimes the miracles people desire for their lives require them to move at the “right timing” when an opportunity presents itself. The Lord doesn’t make it a mystery what opportunities will present themselves as a sign that you must move forward to it because these opportunities will spring up and spring forward at the “right time”. We just have to learn to recognize when the opportunity is happening at the right time.
Proverbs 3:6 In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.
Joshua 1:8 This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.
When something is happening at impeccable timing, that should be a spiritual cue for you to recognize that you need to pay attention and move when the Holy Spirit is telling you to move. The signs for change will be all around you as people start to move in or out of your life and when certain things require you to put your hand up to pursue an opportunity that rarely presents itself. Ask God to direct your path in all that you do, and your way will be made prosperous is my main message for today. I pray that as you listen to this song, may it bless your spirit today. God Bless You Everybody! 🙂
Yesterday, I heard some devastating news that a friend of mine that I was supposed to meet up for lunch this week passed away in hospital. I had just spoken to her last week and she was so excited to hear from me because I was in the midst of moving out of my apartment and into my house that I had bought with my twin sister that I couldn’t meet up with her last week and so we had planned to see each other this week.
Last Friday, we talked for more than an hour on the phone because we just had so much to say and I knew that she was battling cancer in hospital and wanted to meet up with her since she had just finished going through rounds of chemotherapy treatments. I remember her being excited to think that I’d visit her and I understood that she was feeling weak so I had wanted to visit her at her place but found out early yesterday from an unknown caller calling my cell number who ended up being her brother calling me to inform me that she had passed away this past Sunday and was calling numbers from her cell phone of all the people she last spoken to in order to inform them of the unprecedented news. As you can imagine, I was devastated and shocked because I was just laughing with her the day before that I couldn’t believe that that was my last conversation with her.
I remember praying with her when she was on the phone and telling her that I was praying for her recovery to which she was happy to receive; however, the Lord took her home. She had been battling cancer for quite a long time and I knew that she was tired of fighting it but I am thankful that she had the strength to talk to me for more than an hour on the phone before the Lord took her home. As much as the news has saddened me, I believe that she’s in a better place and that’s why I’m posting this song by Tedashii feat. Crowder called Home that I dedicate to my friend who passed away.
I feel, that no matter what it is that you are going through in life, put your life in God’s hands. My friend was aware of how I myself had battled a sickness that I had to recover from for over two years of fighting for recovery and always encouraged me and made me believe that I’d get better to which I too would encourage her since it seems we were both battling health issues. When one is down, the other is there to pick them up. We are there to lift others up when they are down and that is what she was like to me.
Psalm 91:11-12(NKJV)11For He shall give His angels charge over you, To keep you in all your ways. 12 In their hands they shall [a]bear you up, Lest you [b]dash your foot against a stone.
God wants us to remember that in life, He plants people in your life that will be there for you in the good and bad times and that such people are hard to find nowadays. When you have people like that in your life, cherish them, love them and don’t take their presence in your life for granted because you never know when God will take them Home to go to Heaven. This also applies to your family members as well. Cherish them and remember that tomorrow’s not promised and that today is a gift so make the most of your todays as much as possible and thank God for tomorrow. I pray that this song ministers to anyone reading this post today. God Bless You!
I am just rockin’ to this song sung by Danny Gokey called Haven’t Seen It Yet. Sometimes when you are waiting for something amazing to happen to your life, you can become distracted by where other people are in life in comparison to yourself. This is where you have to refocus your mind to NOT focus on things that other people have, and focus on the ONE that is able to give you what you desire and really need on time.
It is important to remember that GOD is always in the habit of not withholding any Good thing from you. His desire is always for His people to prosper and be in good health as your soul prospers as it says in:
3 John 1:2 – Beloved, I pray that in every way you may succeedand prosper and be in good health[physically], just as [I know] your soul prospers [spiritually].
It is so important to not lose focus on God when we start to prosper. When things start to go well in your life, it is always for the same purpose which is to draw people to God’s love and message of TRUTH. Yes, you will get some people that won’t be receptive initially with the Message of God’s Hope for their lives, but that is when you go beyond mere words and start to demonstrate God’s love for people with your ACTIONS. It is true when people say, that ACTIONS speak LOUDER than WORDS, so for this year, rather than simply preaching a message, try to demonstrate God’s love for people through your actions, and pray for them and watch how the Holy Spirit will draw their inner being that thirsts to receive the TRUE Love of God in their lives.
Proverbs 3:5-6 (NKJV) 5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; 6 In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall [a]direct your paths.
I remember the day I chose Jesus as my Saviour, how my eyes and ears opened up dramatically to what God’s love really meant in my life. In the same way, I’ve come to realize that when it comes to seeking the Salvation of others to receive the message of God for their lives, the best way is to pray that the Lord shows you what method and way is best to reach a person. It’s better to reach people in a way that is meaningful to them rather than using traditional methods to evangelize. God has given us the ability to be creative in our approach, so go beyond the typical and strive to seek God to show you NEW ways of doing the same thing but it having a farther reach and huge impact.
I believe that we HAVE NOT if we ASK NOT, and the HOLY SPIRIT in me keeps telling me to tell His people to KEEP ASKING and to pray without ceasing until what you’ve asked for comes to pass. However, when we pray asking God to give us something, we should not ask amiss for selfish reasons. We must only ask Got to help us with something with PURE MOTIVATIONS! I can’t emphasize that part enough, because some people get disappointed if what they asked for isn’t what they receive. Assess your heart when seek God to do something for you. Are you asking with pure motivations, or impure motivations. Check yourself before you wreck yourself!
James 4:2-4 (NKJV)
2 You lust and do not have. You murder and covet and cannot obtain. You fight and [a]war. [b]Yet you do not have because you do not ask. 3 You ask and do not receive, because you ask amiss, that you may spend it on your pleasures. 4 [c]Adulterers and adulteresses! Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Whoever therefore wants to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God.
So remember DO NOT LOSE HOPE and Keep BELIEVING. You are closer than you think you are to your breakthrough in your prayer life. I pray that as you listen to this song, it will encourage you to keep pressing through for your blessings and promises that God has for you and your life. God Bless You Everybody! 🙂
I just had to post two awesome songs by Todd Dulaney where the first is called Let it Flow (Live from Africa). This song is off the chain! The second song is called Stand Forever also by Todd Dulaney. That song is off the hook as well! The beat is just amazing in that it just puts a spring to my step literally and literally as we transition out of our “Winter” seasons and into “Spring” for those of us that live in the Northern Hemisphere.
Who knows that when you are in a state of transition, you have to change your behaviour, your mindset and your habits. When going through a winter season you put on heavier clothing just to keep warm and find yourself covering 80% of your body just to ensure that the cold does not impact your health in any way. But as the Winter season starts to come to an end, the weather starts to warm up, and little by little you find yourself shedding all that heavy clothing, and start to dress a little lighter as your body starts to acclimate to the change in the season.
Why am I talking about this? It’s because I want to draw your attention to the fact that when the seasons in the natural change, we too need to adjust and change our behaviour to adjust to the new season. What you did last season, won’t work in the new season. As Christians, we need to understand that we need to always be spiritually sensitive to when God is moving us to a new place in Him. You can’t maintain the same mentality of last season when He shifts you into a NEWdirection and a NEWplace. Your mindset must adjust to the New things that God wants to do in order for you to embrace the New things He will do in the New SEASON in your life. Some people remain stuck where they are for so long because they simply refused to adjust their attitude. God can’t work with a hard-headed individual that is unable to bend to His Will for your life.
Jeremiah 29:11 New King James Version (NKJV) –11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.
Isaiah 43:19[Full Chapter] Behold, I will do a new thing, Now it shall spring forth; Shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness And rivers in the desert.
The second song that I want to post today is also by Todd Dulaney is called Stand Forever. I guess you could say I’m in worship mode right about now, lol 🙂 ! When you’ve done all that you can do, you must learn to stand. Stand on your convictions about your Faith in God. People can try to sway you with their own opinions about where you should be in life, but you must learn to stand firm in your faith about where you believe God is taking you. Respect your mentors, and the helpers that God brings to you to help you walk out your destiny. And believe it or not, sometimes the helpers God brings to you aren’t necessarily Christians, so keep your mind and heart open for God to use the foolish things in life to confound the wise and the weaker things to confound the mighty in your life.
1 Corinthians 1:27 – But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things which are mighty;
God has a way of being EXTRA in all that He does to show you how wonderful He is to you in your life. We as Christians just need to be humble and accepting of the New Things He does when He starts to shift our focus in a NEW DIRECTION. So analyze where you are right now and consider that you have to change your mindset in order to move in a NEW DIRECTION in your life. Are you willing to do what seems foolish in the eyes of others to confound them? Ask yourself these questions today. I pray that this song blesses you today. God Bless You Everybody! 🙂
