Storms of Life – Faith Pulls Through

Hello Everybody!

Today, I made a short Youtube video that looks at the life of Noah in the Bible. Trust me, it was not easy to make since I’m an amateur lol, but it was fun to make so I hope y’all like it! If the video appears to be a bit blurry when first viewing it, click on the “Settings” icon located on the bottom right corner of the youtube video and make sure that the Speed is set to “normal” and the Quality is set to “480p”. The video should run smoothly if you ensure that these settings are put in place first.  In any case, I did this just for fun so enjoy! 😀

Image result for dove sign noahSometimes in life, God will cause you to be moved to do something that doesn’t make sense whether it be to move from one country to another with your whole entire family going to an unfamiliar place, or taking up a new activity that you’ve never done before in order to increase blessings and opportunities in your life when you step out in obedience. The key factor for the miracles that you want to experience in your life lies in your Obedience factor.

How much do you trust God that when He points the direction (that will often times “not make sense”)?

Will you obey when He points the direction in where you should and ought to go? Obedience is not a simple exercise when thrust in the throes of uncertainty, but how else is one to build on faith?

It isn’t easy to step out of the familiar and walk into that which is unfamiliar and foreign territory for you; however, when you step out in faith, amazing things do happen. Your eyes will see things they’ve never seen before, you will experience things you’ve never experienced before and you will meet people you never thought you’d ever have access to before when you step out in FAITH. Breakthroughs happen when we step out in faith. The things that God will cause us to do may not always make sense, but when you Trust in your heart that you are heading in the right direction and are following His leading in obedience on the basis of your prayer life, you will see yourself experience miraculous breakthroughs that you never thought would be possible.

God speaks to us in so many ways, whether it be by dreams, deja vu experiences, visions, a series of confirmations from various sources, signs and wonders etc etc that you can’t keep your head inside the box. You’ve got to think outside the box. It is up to us to incline our ears to hear what the Spirit of the Lord is saying to us who is the church.

Whoever has ears, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To the one who is victorious, I will give the right to eat from the tree of life, which is in the paradise of God.

Whoever has ears, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches. The one who is victorious will not be hurt at all by the second death.

Whoever has ears, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To the one who is victorious, I will give some of the hidden manna. I will also give that person a white stone with a new name written on it, known only to the one who receives it.

Whoever has ears, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches.”

miracleDo we have an open ear and a receptive heart to obey the instructions that we receive? Ask yourself these types of questions today and do some self-inventory. People want huge miracles to take place in their lives but do not understand that in seeking such things, what is required is a huge amount of faith on the individuals part to simply obey instructions to receive the miracle that they seek, even when the instructions given do not make sense. You may appear crazy in the sight of others but it is that level of faith that brings forth uncommon favour and uncommon miracles to manifest in your life. Who cares if others think you’re crazy! Do what you feel led in your heart to do and see God move in your life. All you have to do is stretch out and believe, AMEN! Move by faith and not by what you see!

James 3:17-18 NIV – But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere. Peacemakers who sow in peace reap a harvest of righteousness.

I tell you, he will see that they get justice, and quickly. However, when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on the earth?”

Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word about Christ.

and be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ—the righteousness that comes from God on the basis of faith.

And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.

I pray that this video I made ministers to your spirit today. Enjoy this video Everybody and God Bless! 😀

Tithes and Offerings for Breakthroughs

Hello Everybody!

I felt the need to touch on the subject that many people like to steer away from which is the topic of Tithes and Offerings.

3688dc1d6af39962372feaa92e3cd757What is so important about understanding the concept of Tithes and Offerings?

In order to answer this question, I first need to address the fact concerning what it is not.

In some Christian circles, the idea of paying tithes and offerings into the church can be viewed in a negative light when you have certain churches that teach on the concept in such a way to entice or manipulate their congregation into giving huge amounts of money for greed purposes rather than for true charitable and missionary based purposes of the church. Let’s just be real here, no one wants to be taken advantaged of and no one wants to invest in a place that doesn’t claim to use what you are putting your money into.

It is a FACT, that many churches require the tithes and offerings that they receive from their members during their services in order to fulfill and satisfy their missions and programs that they offer for their congregation. It’s a fact that with every church, like with any business, money is required in order to keep running its programs that they offer for their community. Let’s not assume for one second that money comes from the sky somewhere, it comes from people just like you and me that keep them running in the first place. It’s like with banks, you wouldn’t open up an investment account with a bank that doesn’t generate good returns on your investment. You would like to see the “fruits” or a return on your investment of what you are putting your money into. In the same way, Tithing and Offering has its benefits which I will explain later on in this post; however, let’s first define what the Tithe is:

A tithe is literally 10% of your gross salary, eg. if you make $9456.00 in one week, or one month depending on when you receive your pay cheque, then what you give to the church is 10% of that amount which would be $945.60. The rest of the money is yours to do with whatever you would like to do; however, nothing is stopping you from giving more money additionally as an “Offering” if you feel led to give out of the generosity of your own heart. This is the true concept of TITHES and OFFERINGS.

titheHeader

Tithing and Offering is actually a Biblical commandment out of obedience from the Lord to bring your ten percent into His church. It’s something that I find not many churches properly teach about and yet it is important to get into the practice of doing as a Christ-follower.

Now, apart from doing it just because it is a commandment in the Bible to do so, there are significant spiritual benefits in Tithing and Offerings. Believe it or not, but Tithing is also a SPIRITUAL WARFARE weapon for financial breakthroughsWhen you tithe and offer in your church out of obedience, you stop a lot of evil forces attacking the fruits of your harvest.

Tithing and Offering rebukes the devourer from stealing what you make because God always blesses a cheerful giver

Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.

I remember years ago when I was awaiting to receive a government cheque that was been held up by bureaucracy and office politics from the Canada Revenue Agency that I was really strapped for cash because I had some bills to pay and I was running low on funds. I was in dire straights and found myself praying and fasting to God all the time for a breakthrough to which He showed me the verse regarding tithes and offerings from Malachi 3:10 in my time of prayer and fasting that I kind of looked at God like…“Do you not see I’m strapped for cash God!”… but He kept impressing on my heart to trust Him in this thing and He would show me something that I had never seen before.

Well, since I was already low on funds anyway, I felt like I had nothing to lose. I was already feeling the pressure and was wondering why the government wasn’t producing my long-awaited cheque that I was waiting on for the past few weeks. Out of obedience to what the Holy Spirit had impressed on my heart to do, I gave my 10% into the church with much fear and trembling and hyperventilation added (lol) that week and felt like, I have nothing to lose anyway. Would you believe, that the same week that I needed the money for my upcoming bills and what have you, the long-delayed cheque that I had been waiting for the past few weeks if not a month had arrived a few days  during that same week after that Sunday service that I had laid down my tithes and offerings in the church bucket. I had to give a praise and a shout unto God for my breakthrough! God is indeed FAITHFUL! 😀
Image result for tithes and offeringsAfter receiving this breakthrough, I became obedient to this whole tithing and offering principle and I can tell you the truth, that I’ve never had financial difficulty ever since I decided to be faithful to this principle. I’ve received multiple breakthroughs and God has constantly been blessing me. I even preached about this principle in my previous church and a family that had also been going through some serious financial distress was also awaiting on a cheque from the government revenue agency to deal with their financial crisis but they had been experiencing delays upon delays on receiving these funds that they were now in dire straights, so they sat there listening to my testimony and decided to give it a try and gave 10% of what they had in their offering that day.

Another lady sitting in the same room who also heard the same sermon that I was preaching gave the very last money that she had in the offering bucket which was supposed to be used to buy her a plane ticket to go back home to Africa but she decided to test God in this and she gave everything she had believing God for a breakthrough. Let me tell you, the first family that gave their tithes and offerings received their breakthrough just a few days after they had sown their seed. They could not believe their breakthrough!

The other woman that had sown all that she had during that Sunday service testified that the very next day, (which was a Monday somebody!) the Canada Revenue Agency mailed out the long awaited cheque she had been waiting for the past few months to receive that not only could help her afford to buy her ticket to go back home, but she received enough to do more for her business back home. She was so blessed by what God had done to give her her breakthrough that she gave a huge offering to the church in gratitude for the lesson she had learned from my sermon regarding tithes and offerings that she now wants to forever remain faithful in understanding the principle regarding the purpose of the Tithes and Offerings.

Tithes and Offerings are a spiritual warfare weapon for financial breakthroughs.

Image result for tithes and offerings

If you are going through financial problems and you are a Christian, you need to understand the principle of Tithes and Offerings in order to obtain your financial breakthroughs. The thing is, many people don’t like the teaching on tithes and offerings because they already have misconceived notions on the purpose of it either through bad experiences with some churches misappropriating the funds, or having the idea that there is no point in giving in the first place because you see no self-benefit in giving in the first place. Look, I can’t guarantee what a church will do with your tithes and offerings because hopefully, you attend a church that is quite transparent in what they use their funds for; however, on the other hand, the concept of giving tithes and offerings is an obedience factor on YOU the INDIVIDUAL, Biblically speaking.  God looks at the heart of the giver, not at the amount that you give. You have to give in faith if you want to reap a harvest of righteousness in your life. Tithing and offering is supposed to be part of a Christians walk with God. It is a very powerful spiritual warfare weapon that can protect your harvest. If you are finding yourself experiencing a lot of financial difficulty or distress, try God in this area and start to tithe and offer in your church. Pray over your seed before you put it in the offering bucket. Ask God to rebuke the devourer of your harvest as you give your 10% into His church. You want to see breakthroughs but these things don’t happen without acts of FAITH.

Ask yourself today, Can you trust God for your breakthrough?

I pray that this post blesses someone today. For some reason, the Lord has been impressing my heart to write on this topic today so I pray that for whoever is reading this, if you were led to read this message, then this message was for you. God wants to intercede for you, but you have to be willing to be obedient if you want to see breakthroughs happen in your life.

God Bless You Everybody! 😀

Everything’s Gonna Be Alright!

Hello People!

I just had to post this upbeat song by Canton Jones called Be Alright to uplift your spirit today! You know when you’re going through a tough time whether it be financial distress, sickness, betrayal, abandonment etc etc, sometimes you just want to know or have some show of confidence that no matter what difficulties that you face, when you put your trust in God with whatever it is that you’re going through, just know that it’s going to be alright. People may abandon you, people may disappoint you, and things may seem to be going south in your life when they should be heading north, but with God on your side, all things work together for the good of those that love the Lord.

The way I perceive situations these days is in light of whatever will be will be and whatever will not be was probably not meant to be.  You cannot afford to look at that which you cannot change. Rather, keep on pressing forward and not look back at things that hold no meaning to you at this time. Focus on what is important and pursue purpose. I believe that there are people that will reconnect to people at the appointed time this year for a specific purpose. I also believe that there will be divine connections that God will bring to people for the purpose of building others and taking them towards their God-driven destiny. Seek God in all that you do, and focus on what is ahead of you rather than what has passed and in the past. I pray that this song by Canton Jones will bless your spirit today. God Bless You everybody! 😀

Fighting Temptations – Praise Is Necessary

Hello People!

I have a couple of songs to bless your spirit today.  The first song is by one of my favourite people, Canton Jones called Necessary. All my praise is necessary! I know that this song will make you one-two-step. 😀

The next song is by Deitrick Haddon called Fighting Temptation. We all know that there are many things out there that pressure us to go outside the will of God, but we have the ability to fight temptations through prayer and fasting, and also by the choices that we make. We don’t have to sway like a pendulum with what the world entices us to do that is against God’s will for our lives. We can choose to stand against the grain and walk uprightly by simply choosing to do the right thing. Sometimes the right thing may not be “popular”, but honestly, popularity that encourages mediocrity is not worth pursuing. It’s better to have a life that sits on honest scales, rather than a life that bears the weight of heaping sin upon sin.

[ Woe to the Obstinate Nation ] “Woe to the obstinate children,” declares the Lord, “to those who carry out plans that are not mine, forming an alliance, but not by my Spirit, heaping sin upon sin;

I pray that these songs bless your spirit today. God Bless You Everybody! 😀

Recognizing the difference between a “Hireling” and the “True Shepherd”

Image result for jesus christ shepherdHi Everybody!

I had wanted to explore this topic a long time ago and forgot that I had left this post in my draft posts section for the past few months. Today, I want to talk about the “Hireling spirit”. What I want to say is that we should avoid developing a “Hireling” spirit as a behavior because a Hireling is literally “hired help” but not necessarily one with the heart of a True Shepherd.

John 10:12
But a hireling, he who is not the shepherd, one who does not own the sheep, sees the wolf coming and leaves the sheep and flees; and the wolf catches the sheep and scatters them.

John 10:13
The hireling flees because he is a hireling and does not care about the sheep.

When you go to church, I think it is important to develop discernment with respect to your Pastors/Preachers/Priests and any head member or leader of the church that is in charge of leading people in some group or another in the church.

Image result for jesus christ shepherdI think it is especially important for parents to assess the leadership of the churches that they want their children to attend because it’s not enough to look at a building filled with many people and assume that just because a place has a huge following that the doctrine is “sound”. I find that particularly in North America, we’ve had issues with Church leaders falling, particularly in “mega-churches” because of one scandal or another. This has given a rise to the issue of Apostasy as is written in 1 Timothy 4 (NKJV):

The Great Apostasy

Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons, speaking lies in hypocrisy, having their own conscience seared with a hot iron, forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from foods which God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and know the truth. For every creature of God is good, and nothing is to be refused if it is received with thanksgiving; for it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer.

A Good Servant of Jesus Christ

If you instruct the brethren in these things, you will be a good minister of Jesus Christ, nourished in the words of faith and of the good doctrine which you have carefully followed. But reject profane and old wives’ fables, and exercise yourself toward godliness. For bodily exercise profits a little, but godliness is profitable for all things, having promise of the life that now is and of that which is to come. This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptance. 10 For to this end we both labor and suffer reproach,[a] because we trust in the living God, who is the Savior of all men, especially of those who believe. 11 These things command and teach.

Take Heed to Your Ministry

12 Let no one despise your youth, but be an example to the believers in word, in conduct, in love, in spirit,[b] in faith, in purity. 13 Till I come, give attention to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine. 14 Do not neglect the gift that is in you, which was given to you by prophecy with the laying on of the hands of the eldership. 15 Meditate on these things; give yourself entirely to them, that your progress may be evident to all. 16 Take heed to yourself and to the doctrine. Continue in them, for in doing this you will save both yourself and those who hear you.

apostasyThe issue of APOSTASY can be also found in Africa, Asia, Europe and other countries where there are huge churches that have issues with misappropriation of church funds, mismanagement of tithes and offerings, using the Word (the Bible) out of context to manipulate people into giving for personal gains and not for true charitable efforts as it should be intended for etc etc because of a lack of transparency and accountability.  It makes outsiders who look in at some of these places that are meant to be a safe haven for “true worshipers” and “believers” to view such churches as places filled with mediocrity. I do not believe that God is pleased.

Some other churches have fallen because of sexual abuse/misconduct or some other scandal where a leader turned out to be gay/lesbian etc etc and the list going on. The devil is having a field day when he sees a church fall as he strikes the shepherd.

“Woe to the worthless shepherd, who deserts the flock! May the sword strike his arm and his right eye! May his arm be completely withered, his right eye totally blinded!”

[ The Shepherd Struck, the Sheep Scattered ] “Awake, sword, against my shepherd, against the man who is close to me!” declares the Lord Almighty. “Strike the shepherd, and the sheep will be scattered, and I will turn my hand against the little ones.

[ Jesus Predicts Peter’s Denial ] Then Jesus told them, “This very night you will all fall away on account of me, for it is written: “‘I will strike the shepherd, and the sheep of the flock will be scattered.’

[ Jesus Predicts Peter’s Denial ] “You will all fall away,” Jesus told them, “for it is written: “‘I will strike the shepherd, and the sheep will be scattered.’

Image result for jesus christ shepherdIt is important to develop discernment concerning the leadership that you have in your churches, but you can only develop discernment concerning your leadership when you develop your own knowledge of what is written in the Word (The Bible) for yourself so that you will be able to pick up the fact when someone is speaking something that is contrary to what is written in the Bible and out of context. Do not wait for a Sunday service to feed your spirit with the Word of God. You should learn to read the Bible for yourself and meditate on the Word day and night so that it doesn’t depart from your mouth.

This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.

But his delight is in the law of the Lord, And in His law he meditates day and night.

Spiritual WarfareNow, I want to make it clear that I’m not advocating a “witch hunt” in churches. What I am simply saying is that as Christians, I think we should not be complacent and that we should make it our duty to know how to discern when a leader in the church is leading people astray with false doctrine, and/or using the Word out of context in order to satisfy a personal agenda that has nothing to do with increasing ones spirituality, holiness or promoting Godly living. We need to protect our children from such leadership that can subtly become cult-like if we do not perceive the agenda of the leadership that uses the Word (the Bible) to manipulate people into doing things that are unbiblical in the first place by using the Word out of context to suit their own agendas.

Image result for spiritual warfare

There are some churches particularly in North America that manipulate people into giving huge amounts of money during offering collections but you never see the fruit of that giving, you never see where that money is going because there is a lack of accountability and transparency. When God-fearing people attempt to challenge the leadership to become accountable about the current status quo, you’ll have to take note that you will face ridicule, persecution within the four walls of what should be a “safe-haven” just because you want to challenge the status-quo. I’ve been there and done that. I was in a church that didn’t like being challenged for some of the things that they were doing that I thought were quite unethical in practice and wow….the backlash was incredible because I chose to challenge the status-quo. I’m not afraid to address what greed.jpgshould be done right. I’m not about pulling the wool over people’s eyes especially with respect to church funds. Donations should be used for what they were intended for. I don’t see why people should be benefiting from the offering if the offering is intended to build the church and not fill certain “leaders” pockets as they buy the latest cars and new houses with the church funds while some people are sacrificing a 10th (10%) of their salary through their tithes and offerings just to see God move in their lives. I don’t believe that’s right. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not advocating that church leaders shouldn’t receive a salary, because they should; however, what I am saying is that there have been several scandals in North America where there has been a gross misappropriation of church funds to fuel and satisfy the greed and lust of certain church leaders that have seared consciences with respect to the things of God which includes the purpose of the tithes and offerings that is intended to fill the storehouse (the Church) for Church needs and missions and not necessarily to greedily fill their pockets with more than “enough”.

[ Do Not Rob God ] “Will a man rob God? Yet you have robbed Me! But you say, ‘In what way have we robbed You?’ In tithes and offerings.

Image result for greedIt is so important to develop spiritual discernment with regards to the leadership in your churches because there have been cases where some churches became occultic through their leadership.

How can a church become occultic you ask?

It can happen if some leaders use the Bible out of context to spiritually manipulate their congregation to either participate in strange activities that have no true Biblical basis to back it up or engage in frivolous giving with the intention of amassing wealth from their congregation on the basis of fueling their greed. I have heard of pastors manipulating women (including married women) to sleep with them in order to “purify” their souls or absolve them of their sins. Where in the BIBLE does it say to do that which is contrary? Such abuses cannot be overlooked and I believe God is not pleased when such abuses happen in the church. This is why it is important for every believer to read the Bible for themselves and know what it says so that they cannot be led astray by Wolves in Sheeps clothing.

Matthew 7:15 [Full Chapter]

[ You Will Know Them by Their Fruits ] “Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves.

Wolves in Sheep Clothing

I just want to state for the record that I’m not advocating a witch-hunt in churches because there are churches with honest Shepherds and God-fearing leadership. What I am saying is that it is important to build on discernment so that you are not easily led astray by individuals who know how to use the Word (The Bible) out of context to manipulate people into doing things that are contrary to what is actually written. If you recognize that you are in a church that is not teaching sound doctrine, and that you are able to identify that some of the practices within the church are contrary to the Bible, then, I think it is time that you consider where in the world are you? Do not be idle in the church! Read your Bible for yourself and not simply wait for a Sunday Service to get your Bible fix. Also consider that you may have to look for another church if the one you are in is leading people astray from the TRUTH. You need to meditate on the Word for yourself so that you can become strong in the Lord and lead others in the right direction. It is important to meditate on what is written so that you can discern when someone is preaching something false or contrary to what you know is in the Bible. This is how you can sharpen your discernment. Iron sharpens iron and you need to sharpen your knowledge so that you can be able to distinguish that which is true and that which is false.

Remember when Jesus said that:

Matthew 7:21 [Full Chapter]

[ I Never Knew You ] “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven.

This just goes to show you that it’s not enough to simply have the appearance of Godliness if you deny it’s power.

2 Timothy 3:1-7 (NKJV)

Perilous Times and Perilous Men

But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away! For of this sort are those who creep into households and make captives of gullible women loaded down with sins, led away by various lusts, always learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.

Image result for spiritual warfare

We need to become consciously aware that we live in very evil and perilous times. Again, I’m not advocating a witch hunt in churches. What I am simply saying is that as Christians, it is our duty to learn the Word for ourselves rather than wait for a Sunday service to get our Word fix. We need to meditate on the Word so that we can develop our discernment and the sensitivity to distinguish when someone is saying something that is contrary to what is written. Jesus always said “It is written…”, however, how many of us know what is written? In order to protect yourself and your family from being led astray, it is pertinent that you hold Bible studies together as a family so that you can all grow together and then when you go to church you gain more understanding of what is written when the pastor preaches.

Self-growth is an individualistic thing. You have to be proactive in order to grow in your faith. There are many resources out there to help you increase in your faith. Invest in Christian books in areas of spiritual warfare, spiritual growth, theology etc etc. I would definitely invest increasing knowledge for personal growth so that you can become stronger and sharper as a Christian. I would highly recommend this website:  www.christianbooks.com as a great resource for affordable Christian literature if you are interested in investing in your knowledge of the Word. You will be more effective in your evangelistic efforts when you increase in your knowledge base of the Word and things concerning Christian living. Well, I think I’ve written enough for today so God Bless You everybody! 😀
