The Sound of A Champion

Hello Peeps!

I have this amazing song that my twin shared with me the other day called Champion sung by Lawrence Flowers and Intercession. I’ve never heard of this singer but when you hear the song, I believe it’ll bless you. It just sounds awesome, especially in surround sound. Check it out down below!

The second song I have is sung by Jovonta Patton called Way Maker. This song is so off the hook on surround sound that I know it’ll bless you today. God Bless You Everybody! 😀

Unlimited Potential – The Thomas Edison Story

Hello Peeps!

Thomas EI wanted to post this short inspirational video about the story of Thomas Edison, the inventor of the Light Bulb. Not many people know the story of how Edison came to be the great inventor that he was. It was all because of his loving mother that believed more in his abilities more so than what others thought Edison could be. Many people in this world judge others prejudicially on the basis of their socio-economic status, and/or physical or mental deficiencies; but God created all people to be able to do amazing things that go beyond our human understanding and expectations. We should never look down on someone and think we are superior to the next person just because they may have a disability of some sort or are facing certain limitations. God has created amazing people no matter what their deficiencies may be (be it physical, mental, or financial) to do and create things beyond our human expectations. So when you watch this video, think about the powerful faith, hope and love of a mother who didn’t give up on her son just because the world did. The power of such a love is able to conquer all obstacles anyone can face. I pray that as you watch this video, may it help us think of how we should treat people better, especially those who are different from ourselves. I pray that this video blesses your spirit today. God Bless You Everybody! 😀

And now abide faith, hopelove, these three; but the greatest of these is love.

Live Accordingly – A Spoken Word by Chris Webb

Hello Peeps!

I wanted to post this Spoken Word (a type of poetry style) by Chris Webb. When I heard his message, I wanted to entitle the title of this post called “Live Accordingly” because that is what the central message of his spoken word is about. Listen intently to what he says because he speaks some serious truths that we can’t ignore in our Christian walk. I pray that this video blesses your spirit today. God Bless You Everybody! 😀

Seriously…Would You Do It?

Hello Peeps!

I wanted to share this amazing and inspirational video concerning the lengths people would go just to save a dog from drowning in a rushing river. The narrator in this video is amazing and I think that as you listen to this short story and watch the course of events, it will get you thinking about how far we would go just to save even our brother or sister in the Lord? Seriously, how far would you go? Food for thought!

These two verses of Scripture come to mind as I watched this video:

Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends.

The Outworking of Love ] By this we know love, because He laid down His life for us. And we also ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.

I pray that as you watch this video, may it bless your spirit today. God Bless You Everybody!

I’ve Also Learned…

know your limitationsHello Peeps!

I just wanted to add some inspiration to your day today with this video that my dad sent me via WhatsApp. I’m not sure who the speaker is, but it sounds like he’s making a speech during a graduation but then again it could be a sermon. I pray that as you watch this short video, you’ll be encouraged but the things he has said. It makes me think of how many things I still have yet to learn even though I’m in my early 30s. May this video bless your spirit today. God Bless You Everybody! 😀

Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead,

Christ in the NFL Philadelphia Eagles

Hello Peeps!

I wanted to post this inspirational video Related imageof NFL players called “The Philadelphia Eagles” who aren’t ashamed to publicly declare their faith. It doesn’t matter where you find yourself in society. Always make sure you know where you stand when it comes to your belief system. Even when God elevates you in life, always be humble and remember where all your blessings came from. As I watched this video, I felt proud of these guys who are standing up for what they believe in unashamed. We must all be unashamed of the Gospel of Truth. I pray that as you watch this video, may it bless your spirit today. God Bless You Everybody! 😀

Mark 8:38

For whoever is ashamed of Me and My words in this adulterous and sinful generation, of him the Son of Man also will be ashamed when He comes in the glory of His Father with the holy angels.”

Luke 9:26

How God Answers the Prayers of the Humble

Hello Peeps!

Today, I have a short clip to get y’all thinking about how God responds to our prayers. Sometimes, some people can be presumptuous with respect to what’s going on in your life when they see that nothing seems to be going right in your life and will assume that:

1) You aren’t praying right;

2) You’ve done something to block prayers from being answered; or

3) You simply don’t have favour with the Lord.

Image result for arrogant gifsPeople can be very presumptuous, and therefore, they can end up being acting very arrogant, haughty and proud towards you when they start to compare their own blessings with the lack of your own. If you believe in the power of prayer, just know that just because a blessing is delayed when you pray for it, doesn’t necessarily mean that the blessing has been denied. Everything comes in God’s perfect timing. Think of Sarah and Abraham in the Bible who wanted to have a child. Many women would have laughed at Sarah and mocked her for not being able to conceive until she was at a very old age. The fact that the blessing was delayed didn’t mean that the Lord had denied her prayer request. The spectators in Sarah’s life at that time were very presumptuous, arrogant and haughty. Never compare your life with the lives of others that seem to be “making it” in the world, because what they have today, can very well vanish tomorrow. Also, you Image result for the devil's advocatedon’t know what some people may have done to obtain the things that you may possibly desire. Some people may have obtained wealth and riches that some may covet by dishonest means… And I personally don’t think that that is something worth coveting over. Always seek to do the right thing and always remember to honor the Lord in everything you do. Do not pursue shortcuts to success. If you do, you would have ventured off into the Devil’s playground and will find it very difficult to escape once you’ve been caught up in a snare. Always strive to work hard by honest means rather than opting for Short-term gains with Long-term pains. Think of the movie The Devil’s Advocate. The lawyer signed up for a life filled with riches, prestige, recognition, etc etc…but it came at a very serious cost that affected his marriage and his sanity.

Again I say… Do not pursue shortcuts to success…. you’ll be opting for short-term gains with long-term pains.

An example of being Vain and Arrogant

Even when you look as some of the celebrities that we have nowadays, most of them exude an air of arrogance and have no humble bone in their body. They like to “appear” humble in front of an audience when it’s convenient enough to gain the love and the attention of the masses, but once you’ve turned your back and when you’re not even looking, behind closed doors … their ugly heads rear up and you see a side you never thought was there before. I have known people of high status at the diplomatic level (Ministers, Diplomats, Government Officials, Civil Servants, etc) boast of what they have to my family when I was living with my grandparents who were diplomats, and a few years down the road, you hear a crazy story of how they ended up losing everything in a disgraceful way. That’s why boasting about the accumulation of your possessions is displeasing to God, when you don’t remember where your blessings came from. God is the gift giver, and He is able to take things away from us if we start to act like He had nothing to do with our current success. People should fear the One who is able to give us life and take it away, but instead, many fear losing what they have gained rather than care about life itself. It just blows my mind how some people think.

Mark 8:36 [Full Chapter]

For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul?

Image result for arrogant gifsPeople should remember that our time here on Earth is limited and if we choose not to walk humbly and treat people with dignity and respect just as Jesus told us to “love one another as I have loved you” (John 13:34John 15:12); then we automatically forfeit the same benefits that grace gives us if we are filled with PRIDE and ARROGANCE. God always gives grace to the humble and He will always resist the Proud.

Surely He scorns the scornful, But gives grace to the humble.

But He gives more grace. Therefore He says: “God resists the proud, But gives grace to the humble.”

Submit to God, Resist the Devil ] Likewise you younger people, submit yourselves to your elders. Yes, all of you be submissive to one another, and be clothed with humility, for “God resists the proud, But gives grace to the humble.”

Related imageSo as you watch this short video clip that I’ve posted here for today, do some self analysis and consider the times when you may not have exercised that level of grace that was deserving for another person. Put away your pride and arrogance and choose to confess with a contrite spirit seeking God to humble you so that you treat other people with dignity and respect. The respect you give is the same respect you deserve. If you don’t give it, then don’t expect it in return. The world has a shortage of humility as it is… so it is important that we remember to treat people in the way we would like to be treated. Do to others what you expect to be done to you, because the way you treat someone today, will affect how others treat you tomorrow. I pray that this video blesses your spirit today. God bless you Everybody! 😀

Assumptions are Dangerous: The Importance of having Self-Control

Hello Peeps!

I wanted to post an inspirational video to get you to consider when assumptions are dangerous. Sometimes people can judge a situation incorrectly without knowing all the FACTS. When you watch this short video, just remember, that with anything that you face in life, never judge something too quickly without knowing all the FACTS. Sometimes the greatest misunderstandings come when people are not aware of all the facts to a particular situation. This may cause misunderstandings, strife, and contention between people. This is where people need to practice the element of self-control.

“I so want that cookie!” – The voice of Temptation

Rather than reacting to a situation without knowing all the facts, remain calm until you know the full picture of the full story. You will avoid unnecessary disputes, strife, and bitterness and the possibility of a broken relationship(s), had you remained calm and listened to the full story. It’s easy to react to a situation, but it’s better to remain calm as you observe all the facts and intently listen to the full story before coming to a judgment.

People can easily come to a false conclusion if they are reactionary to situations rather than observing of all the facts. May this be a learning lesson to everyone in whatever you do in life. Always be a person filled with self-control rather than racing to a false conclusion out of anger and heated emotions, Amen! You don’t want to make the mistake of breaking a meaningful relationship just because you reached a false conclusion in the heat of the moment. Always learn to practice self-control in all that you do. It is easy to be tempted to do the wrong thing, but it is much harder to develop the self-control to bridle your emotions when situations stir you up to be reactionary rather than responding appropriately while exercising self-control. I pray that as you watch this video, you will learn from it and may this video bless your spirit today! God Bless You Everybody! 😀

What about the Millennials?

Hello People!

Happy Friday! Today, I want to post a video about those that were born before the year 2000. Life sure was different when I was growing up. The things we used to do really helped us to build a sense of community, and level of independence. However, now I feel that the things we once enjoyed, to some extent, I feel that the millennials are missing out on the things we’ve all once had if you were born before the year 2000. With the advancement of technology, and as the world turns, it seems as though that although we do have innovation, the millennials are missing the basics in order to survive this world. Some millennials have unrealistic expectations when they go searching for a job after graduation.

Many are in the social media and digital age

Related imageMy sister who works for a Fortune 500 company that I also once used to work for told me how some of the kids fresh out of University or College have unrealistic expectations when going for a job interview. They have book smarts but lack emotional intelligence and practical experience that would qualify them for some of the positions they seek in the business world. I too have witnessed the unrealistic expectations of millennials seeking to enter the job-force with only book smarts and no sense of emotional intelligence, or those having unrealistic expectations to advance quickly to places of high promotion without working really hard for it. They do get the shock culture of their lives when they experience the reality of their unrealistic expectations. Book smarts are not enough in the business world without relationship smarts. And considering that many people holding management positions are from the older generations who prize these particular elements when they seek to hire an individual, it is important that the millennials learn from their parents or older people who have a history of being successful and seek to be mentored by such individuals if they seek to thrive. Having unrealistic expectations won’t change the outcome if they don’t learn to change their mindset.

When I think of the millennials situation, I am reminded of this piece of scripture:

Romans 12:2 [Full Chapter]

And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

Image result for millennials bannerI think that it’s important for them to realize that they need to renew their mindset in order to prove what is good, and acceptable, and the perfect will of God for their lives by God’s standards when they come to understand that their current unrealistic expectations does not eliminate the need to be humble, teachable, contrite and wise. These character traits that are Biblical to begin with, are what employers seek from their candidates. Pride and arrogance won’t get them anywhere in this life if they refuse to humble themselves before their predecessors, and that is why learning from the success of the previous generation is key in order to be successful in the present time.

Proverbs 22:4 [Full Chapter]

By humility and the fear of the Lord Are riches and honor and life.

The fear of the Lord is the instruction of wisdom, And before honor is humility.

Before destruction the heart of a man is haughty, And before honor is humility.

By humility and the fear of the Lord Are riches and honor and life.

Submit to God, Resist the Devil ] Likewise you younger people, submit yourselves to your elders. Yes, all of you be submissive to one another, and be clothed with humility, for “God resists the proud, But gives grace to the humble.”

I feel like my Generation is at an advantage because of the things we’ve had to go through and learn by learning from the earlier generations (refer back to this scripture posted above 1 Peter 5:5). We’ve been taught to learn from the past…but I feel that the new generation just wants to pursue the future without recognizing or learning from the previous generation. Some come off as stuck up and incorrigible, but those that are humble and are willing to listen and learn from the previous generation, benefit from such wisdom as they run their race. So my prayer is that we pray for the millennials to learn from the previous generation so that they can grow in wisdom and stature as they pursue purpose in their lives. May this video bless your spirit today. God bless you everybody! 😀
