Broken People, Broken Things

Hello Peeps!

Not the actual picture of my car…just an example of what was done to mine.

So, short story. I was supposed to go shopping yesterday for Boxing day sales with my twin, but when we got to the car in our underground parking lot, we found that our driver’s side window was smashed in because someone had broken into the car. Not only had the person broken into the car, they ransacked it and stole the iPod that was in it. They also smashed and broke into several other cars in the same underground parking lot and stole some items. Needless to say, my sister and I were very ticked off. We went to the superintendent to report what had happened only to find that other residents were there making the same complaint. The superintendent had the guy on camera but we all couldn’t recognize this fool so we had to make a police report and unfortunately, they weren’t much help. So later on this week my sister and I will have to get our car fixed since it’s the Christmas holiday week, many services aren’t open. UGH! How frustrating!

On the other hand, I am thankful that I had wanted to go shopping early because I wouldn’t have known that this had happened had I not had the desire to go shopping. I would have probably found out 2 days later. I’m also thankful that no one got hurt during this whole process physically because the person had a weapon to break into the cars which I found to be a screwdriver that he left in our car (how careless can one be to leave evidence????). No one wants to be in an altercation with a wacko with a weapon. Anyways, it was frustrating to say the least, but we didn’t have anything valuable in the car except that iPod that he stole…. I got the impression that the person was high on drugs when I saw the surveillance video…WORD… I pray that he gets help though…

I feel like if you’re broken on the inside, your behaviour towards others will reflect your brokenness in your actions. In this case, this broken individual broke into other people’s cars to steal their things without apology. I feel like this person is a broken soul that may have a seared conscience and can only think about what they want selfishly and not consider how their actions affect others in the process of doing selfish things. He really ticked me off…but I still hope that the thief gets help…he doesn’t look like someone who’s in his right mind based on what I observed from the surveillance video. All we can do at the end of the day is pray for such people and hope that the Lord will heal the spirit of their minds.

22 that you put off, concerning your former conduct, the old man which grows corrupt according to the deceitful lusts23 and be renewed in the spirit of your mind24 and that you put on the new man which was created according to God, in true righteousness and holiness.

John 10:10 [Full Chapter]

The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.

“If a man delivers to his neighbor money or articles to keep, and it is stolen out of the man’s house, if the thief is found, he shall pay double.

Anyways, that’s my rant for today. I hope everybody had a safe Christmas! God Bless You Everybody! 😀

Pray for Zimbabwe

Hello People!Zimbabwe hand

Well, today I want to post a prayer for my Country Zimbabwe as it goes through its transition after our previous leader, President Robert Mugabe has stepped down in a forced resignation.

You can read all about that through reading CNN’s post by clicking here. I’m not going to talk about all the chaos that the country went through before and after all of this happened because that’s not what’s important right now. What’s important right now is the livelihood of the people and the hope that the new leader President Emmerson Mnangagwa will bring peace, stability and financial prosperity for the people of Zimbabwe.

All I can say is that a leader can start off well, but if one gets drunk with power, your end may become tragic. Think of King David in the Bible….He started off well as a shepherd boy, but when he became king and lusted after another man’s wife (Uriah’s wife), he did the unthinkable and murdered Uriah by sending him off to battle to die there as a diabolical scheme to get Uriah’s wife (Bathsheba) to marry him due to his covetousness/jealousy and lust (You can read all about that in 2 Samuel 11).

God did not overlook David’s crime… Just because you start off well being an honest leader/person in the beginning of your walk with the Lord, doesn’t mean that you can’t ever stray after a certain time has past. If you lust for power or for other peoples things and move into a realm where you don’t care if you hurt other people just to get whatever it is that you want…you will end up doing many unbelievable things that will displease God and judgment will ultimately pass against your head. As Christians, we need to be cautious and humble enough to understand that no matter how humble your beginnings were in your walk with God, when God elevates you into a position of power:

  • do not let that power corrupt your morals,
  • do not let that power to steer you away from doing the “right thing”,
  • do not let that power drown nor sear your conscience,
  • do not let that power be used to abuse other people,
  • do not let that power be the cause of your downfall.

With great power comes great responsibility, so always tune your heart to remain humble, love justice and act with mercy, otherwise, you will succumb to your own devises if you leave your morals unchecked. The Lord stresses that we must guard our hearts above all else as stated in the following verses of scripture:

Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.

If you say, “But we knew nothing about this,” does not he who weighs the heart perceive it? Does not he who guards your life know it? Will he not repay everyone according to what they have done?

And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

The entire chapter of Proverbs 24 epitomizes what I think is happening in Zimbabwe at this time. The Lord our God does not overlook corruption, oppression and destruction of a people or a country. Those that were part of oppressing the people of Zimbabwe will be dealt with by the Lord’s Hand if they fail to repent for their evil schemes and deeds. If God would not overlook the tyrannical abuse of power by Pharaoh in the days of Moses, then I believe that this same God will not overlook the tyrannical abuse of power from any leader that abuses their citizens. I’m not only talking about just Zimbabwe, but this also goes for any other leader of any nation, or to any person in a place of leadership whether it be in the political realm, religious realm or in the business realm. May this serve as a warning to all people that whatever you do to oppress people’s lives, the Lord will bring swift judgment against a person’s head according to His timing over any level of gross injustice(s) perpetrated against the innocent. It is better to turn away from your wicked ways and seek God to renew a right spirit in you through repentance in order to lead people with Love, Justice and Mercy rather than drown in your pride and obstinacy. So for today, pray for the people of Zimbabwe and pray for your own nation’s leaders that they may rule with love, justice, peace, righteousness and compassion for the people that they are called to lead, Amen! God Bless You Everybody! 😀

But He gives more grace. Therefore He says: God resists the proud, But gives grace to the humble.”

Happy Resurrection Sunday everybody!

Jesus is Alive! The grave is empty and death has lost its sting! Rejoice and be Glad, for Jesus is our Kinsmen Redeemer!

Joshua 24:15

And if it seems evil to you to serve the Lord, choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”
Jesus said to him, “I athe way the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.
Revelation 3:20

2012 in review

The stats helper monkeys prepared a 2012 annual report for this blog.

Here’s an excerpt:

19,000 people fit into the new Barclays Center to see Jay-Z perform. This blog was viewed about 62,000 times in 2012. If it were a concert at the Barclays Center, it would take about 3 sold-out performances for that many people to see it.

Happy Blogoversary!!!!

Hello Everbody!

Today marks my 1 year of blogging even though the blog was opened up 2 years ago. It’s a milestone that I’m amazed I can even commit to this one thing. When I started out, I didn’t really think I’d be consistent with it, but honestly after the 21 day fast blog where I had to seriously discipline myself to blog everyday chronicling my thoughts during the fast, I think that truly helped me get my act together to remain consistent in this thing. They say it takes 21 days to create a habit and 21 days to break it so the 21 day fast blog during the beginning of this year helped out in such a big way that I find it normal to blog regularly now.

I have noticed that my blog seems to go into a cycle of new seasons. My blogging style keeps changing with the times. It’s like I feel that everytime I am swayed in a different direction the theme follows that direction. It’s amazing how my writing keeps evolving. Started off with character building posts, and then onto fasting, then spiritual warfare, then my testimony and then about issues regarding intercessory prayer and then difficult topics that are less discussed and now it moves onto worship and evangelism. Moving from revelation to revelation and from inspiration to inspiration. It’s been an interesting year of blogging for me.

It still remains a journey of self-discovery for me, however, I did not really expect to garner an audience to my tales, thoughts and ideas. I think when I decided to make it more of a spiritual journey blog, I knew I had made the right decision. I kind of thought that it would remain as a personal online journal, but what I’ve learned in the bloggosphere after 1 year of blogging,  is that:

1). You never know who you’ll encounter – You meet interesting people with amazing minds out there that you may not encounter all the time in your daily walk.

2) Discipline – it takes a lot of effort to become disciplined at writing on a regular basis.

3) Imagination – I find that my imagination is still alive and well and constantly ticking with new ideas for creativity, I have a lot of readers and bloggers to thank for that.

4) You can look at yourself through other people’s eyes – through their comments.

5) Don’t underestimate your worth – Sometimes, I read amazing blogs that inspire me to write something to help someone else. There is so much that I learn from others through this beautiful social media tool that I see the world as limitless.

6) Always keep growing – I’d like to think that I as a writer that I am evolving as I continue on along emotionally, spiritually & creatively.

7) Last but not least – I thank God for the Blog. He inspires my writing the most and I am so blessed to find out how it has helped others. I didn’t think I would use it as a form of evangelism, but the world really is limitless now isn’t it?

Thank you all who read my blog for being an inspiration and I welcome you all to celebrate my blog party right here on WordPress! Have some virtual cake Everybody! Love Y’all!

The CRY Movement

Hi Everybody!

I just wanted to advertise that if you’re living here in Toronto, there is going to be a movement happening on July 28, 2012 at Massey Hall downtown Toronto called The CRY Movement. I just heard about it recently and it’s a call to prayer and fasting for the city that I live in. More than 10, 000 people show up for it each year and from different denominations and ethnicities. It’s a massive movement that I just ran into and would love to attend and extend invitations. People, I’m expecting a revival fire this year, so if you are interested, come on down. God deserves the highest praise AMEN!

Their website is: for more information on Location, etc.  God Bless you everybody!
