The Shattered Grave

Hello Peeps! Happy Resurrection Sunday!

I hope y’all had an amazing Sunday service this weekend. Honestly, there is just so much craziness going on out there with what happened to the Notre Dame Cathederal in flames this past week and right when we are celebrating The Resurrection of Jesus Christ, for this Easter Sunday weekend. May we keep everyone in prayer as we go through each week in the Lord. I feel like there is so much shifting in this season that we’re in, that we as Christians need to understand that the times are changing rapidly and quickly in that I feel that the Lord will quicken our Spirits to be more vigilant and sharpened to recognize the seasons and times we are living in. The days grow evil with strange occurrences, and tragic events concurring in different parts of the world at seemingly odd times, that we cannot afford to be complacent. We must remain vigilant as the word says:

1 Peter 5:8 [Full Chapter]
Be soberbe vigilantbecause your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.

Despite this, the Lord also gives us encouragement to remember the following:

And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand. My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of My Father’s hand. I and My Father are one.”John 10:28-30 NKJV

We need to know who we are in Christ and whose we are in Christ Jesus. Our identity is riding on the fact that we are the salt and light of the Earth. We are the Change that the World needs to see…but “do we add any flavour in the way that we live and do life?”… is the question. I believe that in Celebrating what the Lord Jesus did for us at Calvary, we need to remember why He came in the first place… and that was to restore our identity as Sons of God.

Romans 8:19 For the earnest expectation of the creation eagerly waits for the revealing of the sons of God.

The Earth is groaning as tragedies take place, but the Lord is waiting on us to arise. We are the answers that we seek. So for this Resurrection weekend, meditate on the fact that the Lord Jesus didn’t die and resurrect for us in Vain. He did it so that we would no longer be captives to sin and we would be empowered to greater things in His name. The windows of Heaven opened for us when He resurrected for us, so give God the highest praise you have in your heart to Him today. I pray that this song sung by Deitrick Haddon called He Carried the Cross For Me blesses and ministers to you today as you think about the Goodness of Our Lord Jesus Christ. God Bless You Everybody! 🙂
