Today, I want to post an inspirational and thought-provoking video of a famous Pastor called Jim Cymbala who encountered a poor man after preaching 3 times at the church. He thought that the smelly poor man came seeking money, but in fact he was seeking something else. Watch the video to see what that was.
And the King will answer and say to them, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.’
After watching this video I thought to myself, that we really need to be the Hands and Feet of Jesus doing good wherever we go. We cannot allow our prejudices to hinder us from extending the love of God to those who really need Him. The story is quite humbling and inspiring, and it kinda makes me look deep at my life drawing me to a place of introspection.
Do we really have the heart of the Father, or are we all just “Lip-service”?
Sometimes we think we are very Christian in our beliefs and practices, but if our beliefs don’t match our actions, then are we not putting the very Word of God (The Bible) to be of no effect? Are we putting the very Word of God that we preach about in disrepute? My prayer is that as Believers, we demonstrate the True Love of God in all that we do. We will be placed in situations to test our love for God, and hopefully, through such tests we will reach a place where we humble ourselves and realize, that in our journey and walk with God, we can never assume that “we’ve arrived”. No matter how high a platform is raised in your life, never for one second assume that “you’ve arrived”. Rather, we must always be cognizant of the fact that we still need Jesus in our walk, we need to walk humbly, and our hearts and minds need to continuously aim to be renewed so that we can be used for God’s glory whenever we encounter those that need a touch of Jesus Today. I pray that this video blesses your spirit today. God Bless You Everybody! 😀
