Today, I want to post this awesome song by Micah Tyler called Different. You know, it’s not easy to be “different” from your peers but Jesus was completely different from the Jewish masses back in those days. He showed us that we don’t need to be legalistic or dogmatic in order to be a people that demonstrates God’s love through our actions. Our faith is not based on “appearances of holiness” if we deny the power of God’s love for us. Our faith should be based on our actions that Jesus came to exemplify so that we could duplicate that same power at His level and even at a greater level since He said that “Greater works shall we do than these….” in the following scripture:
11 Believe Me that I am in the Father and the Father in Me, or else believe Me for the sake of the works themselves.
The Answered Prayer
12 “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father. 13 And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
Let us purpose and pursue the greater gifts of the Holy Spirit so that we can demonstrate that Christ-like level of love through our actions. If Jesus could pick up an ear that Simon Peter had cut off from the servant of the High Priest called Malchus who had come to arrest Jesus and put it back on Him again (Luke 22:49-51; John 18:10), wouldn’t it be amazing if we as Christians could demonstrate that same level of power in our lives? The only reason why we can’t do some of those things is because our minds won’t go there. I think it would be awesome to be used by God in this way because such a demonstration of God’s love can change a person’s destiny. There are people who are non-believers that have come to Christ simply because they had an encounter with either a believer who demonstrated their faith in action or through an encounter with the miraculous that transformed their lives as they came to believe that Jesus is indeed the Son of God and all that come to believe in Him shall be saved. This just goes to show you that faith in action has a supernatural trans-formative power that can change a heart and a person’s mind to believe in the saving grace and power of Jesus Christ. God isn’t asking you to be perfect, He is just asking that You believe in Him so that you can be saved. If you have struggled in your faith, I pray that you reconsider where you stand right now and give your life back to Jesus so that He can renew a steadfast spirit in you again.
Create in me a clean heart, O God, And renew a steadfast spirit within me.
I pray that this song blesses your spirit today. God Bless You everybody! 😀
