Well, I just saw this video by Dan Stevers today called “Love is for Losers”, and at first I was like what’s up with the title!?!!!!! How is love for losers huh!? Anyways, you’ve got to watch the video in its entirety to understand and appreciate the message. It seems to be talking about it in the context of a marital relationship; however, I think that it also applies in every other kind of relationship that you have in your life whether you are married or not.
The love that you give to others is a reflection of what you embrace in your own heart. If you want to love others like Jesus, you have to embrace the message of Christ and act on it. Do unto others as you would have done unto yourself. So many people want to place themselves first before another person because of selfishness, but that is not how we ought to be. We need to cultivate a heart condition that looks beyond ourselves and sees others first before ourselves. The way we treat one another is a reflection of what is in our own hearts. You can never really love the other person properly if you are a selfish human being. A heart that is filled with self-entitlement doesn’t guarantee happiness. Rather, we ought to be selfless and seek to help one another as Christ demonstrated His love through His actions.
Therefore, we need to become bold and courageous and reach out to others that need a touch of God’s love today. Be the shoulder for someone to cry on when they are hurting, be that listening ear that is able to hear someone’s complaints without prejudice or judgment and offer up solutions to their problems, be the lending hand that picks someone up when they are down, be the one to add a smile on someone’s face with your acts of kindness, just be what God intended you to be, and that is to be a representation of His love personified in all that you do in this life. I pray that this short video clip blesses your spirit today. God Bless You Everybody! 😀
And just as you want men to do to you, you also do to them likewise.
