I thought I’d post a couple of songs to minister to your spirit today 😀 . The first song is by Deitrick Haddon called Be Like Jesus. I still believe that there are still some Christians out there still criticizing Deitrick for his past infidelity and are still condemning him for his past indiscretion because some people can’t seem to let the past be in the past. Don’t get me wrong in that I’m not downplaying what he did because he did hurt his wife by having an affair, but honestly, people need to look at themselves before they continue to point fingers at others who fall from temptation so easily. No one is immune to sin nor are they immune from falling into the traps of various temptations to stray from the right path. Why point at the speck in your brother or sister’s eye but can’t see the plank in your own eye? The measure people use to judge another will be used against them according to this scripture:
3 And why do you look at the speck in your brother’s eye, but do not consider the plank in your own eye? 4 Or how can you say to your brother, ‘Let me remove the speck from your eye’; and look, a plank is in your own eye? 5 Hypocrite! First remove the plank from your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.
The Greatest Gift
13 Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I have become sounding brass or a clanging cymbal. 2 And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. 3 And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned,[a]but have not love, it profits me nothing.
4 Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; 5 does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; 6 does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; 7 bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
8 Love never fails. But whether there are prophecies, they will fail; whether there are tongues, they will cease; whether there is knowledge, it will vanish away. 9 For we know in part and we prophesy in part. 10 But when that which is perfect has come, then that which is in part will be done away.
11 When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child; but when I became a man, I put away childish things. 12 For now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part, but then I shall know just as I also am known.
13 And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.
Therefore, it is important to operate with a Spirit of Compassion and Mercy with a heart to forgive and minister people to get back on the right path. Just because you see someone fall, doesn’t mean that you have the right to laugh and poke fun at them. This is where we exercise the heart of Jesus and go to that person and pick them up off the ground when they fall. That is what LOVE is. If we claim to love one another as Christ has done for us, then we should not be hypocritical in our conduct and scoff at another’s weakness. We should rather encourage and lead people to higher ground especially when they are feeling low. Display this fruit of the Spirit in all that you do today, Amen! 🙂
The last song for today is by Joshua Rogers called So Good. I’ve never heard of this guy before but this song is off the hook. I’m pretty sure y’all will like it. It has that one-two-step feel of the beat that will make you move on your toes. I pray that these songs minister to your spirit today. God Bless You everybody! 😀
