Representing: “I’m A Christian”

Hello Everybody!

Today, I want to post a song by Dee-1 called I’m Not Perfect (I’m A Christian). You know, being a Christian isn’t easy these days when we are filled and bombarded with many temptations out there to lead us astray. However, choosing to be set apart is the most satisfying feeling I have ever felt in my life. I remember when I first got saved I lost all my so-called “friends”  who I thought would be there for me even after I gave my life to Christ, but their true colours showed when they wouldn’t tolerate my changed attitude. No more partying like a crazy chick, no more clubbing or drinking. Honestly, when I look back at what I used to do I shake my head. The decision to do the right thing has been very satisfying for my life. Sometimes we engage in bad behaviours because we want so badly to fit in, however, the truth is compromising is never a good thing because it leaves us to be neither here nor there. We become double-minded in all our ways, neither hot nor cold which makes people question where in the world do you stand?

Do you know where you stand?

The decision to do the right thing has been very satisfying for my life. Sometimes we engage in bad behaviours because we want so badly to “Fit-in” but the thing is we’ve been called to be “Set-apart”. When my friends realized that I no longer wanted to engage in clubbing etc etc, they totally understood where I was coming from and I thought that would be the end of my relationship with them, but it wasn’t. I’m still friends with them to this day and they don’t judge me for the decisions I’ve made. In fact, some of them have stopped clubbing as much as they used to do.

Sometimes, it takes the action of ONE to change the behaviour of many.

So when you go about your daily life business, question the activities you are partaking in. Are some of the things you are engaged in edifying your soul in any way, or are you using certain activities to fill up certain voids you feel in your life? Really dig deep and search deep and do some self-inventory on why are you doing the things that you do?  I pray that the song ministers to your spirit. God bless you everybody! 😀

Psalm 4:2-4(NKJV)

How long, O you sons of men,
Will you turn my glory to shame?
How long will you love worthlessness
And seek falsehood? Selah
But know that the Lord has set apart[a] for Himself him who is godly;
The Lord will hear when I call to Him.

Be angry, and do not sin.

Meditate within your heart on your bed, and be still. Selah
