I just want to post this song by Danny Gokey called Tell Your Heart to Beat Again. Sometimes in life we face heartbreaks in various types of situations, whether it be in a committed relationship, familial, friend or business relationship. The foundation of maintaining a proper relationship is founded on the basis of Trust. When trust is broken, the essence of that relationship is then compromised which leads to certain parties feeling heart-broken by the whole situation because the relationship is now destroyed because of the lack of trust required to maintain the relationship. Despite the pain, you as the person must allow your heart to beat again. Do not allow your heart to grow cold with hatred and bitterness festering on the inner wound. Rather, allow God to heal the parts of you that hurt and seek His face to ask Him to make your heart beat again. There is nothing worse than becoming a cold-hearted individual after experiencing various disappointments in your life.
In this life, you will have trouble so this shouldn’t be news to you. What counts is how you react to what happens around you. You will have up and down days, but you need to figure out how you’ll react to the down days more specifically because that’s when your character is truly tested.
How do you treat people on your down days? Do you become mean in your character? It’s important to develop a level of self-control when you face a crisis because sometimes our true colours show up when we are faced with adversities. You maybe humble pie right now, but when you go through the test, that is when you will identify your true character.
How do you respond to situations? Do you first panic or do you respond to the crisis by praying about it first? I know that there have been situations where my first reaction was to panic and probably overreact, but over time, I’ve learned to pray over a situation even when I’m freaking out inside. Ultimately, when we face adversities, we must first respond to them through prayer. We cannot afford to simply panic and just stay in that place of worry. We need to take action and seek God’s face for the answers to the problems that we face. We need to put our faith and trust in God. Keep praying, keep believing and keep trusting God because He is the answer to all your needs.
[ Rejoicing in Answered Prayer ] [ A Psalm of David. ] To You I will cry, O Lord my Rock: Do not be silent to me, Lest, if You are silent to me, I become like those who go down to the pit.
[ The Blessedness of Answered Prayer ] [ A Psalm. A Song at the dedication of the house of David. ] I will extol You, O Lord, for You have lifted me up, And have not let my foes rejoice over me.
By awesome deeds in righteousness You will answer us, O God of our salvation, You who are the confidence of all the ends of the earth, And of the far-off seas;
In the day of my trouble I will call upon You, For You will answer me.
I will praise You, For You have answered me, And have become my salvation.
