I just had to post this song by Lecrae feat. Mali called “Tell the World”. I think our lives as Christians should scream out like a billboard that it’s so obvious that you are a Christian without question. It shouldn’t even be a question of whether you are or not because your faith should match your actions. Words are not enough to convince people because what you ultimately believe in should be demonstrated in your actions. It is not a simple label that you stick on your shirt to be identified as a “Christian”, it is the lifestyle that you maintain. I’m not saying that you will be perfect in your representation of it, but it should be obvious that that is what you are striving to be; A “Christ -follower” who believes in Jesus Christ, the Son of God who demonstrates His love through your actions. Jesus Christ is the Truth, the Life and the Way, and none can come to Him without understanding that Truth.
If we want people to come to the knowledge of Christ, we must first demonstrate His love for people through our own actions. It is not enough to hand out a tract and tell them “Jesus loves them”, and don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying you should stop handing out tracts nor am I saying stop evangelizing, I just think we need to go beyond that and try to reach people’s hearts.
Can you imagine if a group of Christians operated in the realm of the gifts of the Holy Spirit. Evangelism would be at a whole new level. I know that my area of the gifts of the Holy Spirit is in the prophetic, however, not all of us are called to prophesy, some are called to be psalmists, some evangelists, some preachers, some teachers etc, etc.
I am just thinking, can you imagine if Christians really tapped into their own anointing, how different this world would really be? I think as Christians, we are rather complacent in that we are comfortable with our “pew-sitting” status quo that we haven’t moved into the realm where God wants to take us to the next level of His glory. The apostles were operating at a high level after they were commissioned to evangelize and here we are still drinking the milk of the Word when God wants us to tap into the realm where we can heal, deliver and prophesy in His name etc, etc. Is anybody wanting to go to that next level?
Yes, there will be spiritual warfare involved and that cannot be avoided, but you won’t be able to get to the next level without learning how to fight. I know that with what I’m going through, it is a war, but I remember prophesying to some people and interpreting dreams before I got sick with encephalitis and when I think about it, it’s interesting to know that this is what I get for just being obedient and allowing the gifts of the Spirit to flow in my life. I am not discouraged. I am not dismayed. I am frustrated at times going through with this whole encephalitis thing, but God has shown me that I had to go through this in order to know what it’s like to fight a battle when you choose to be obedient. Also, He told me that this is a small-scale attack…now when I think about it, this has been a huge battle for me, but in God’s eyes, He tells me that this is a small-scale attack…that really humbled me to know that I really don’t know what level of warfare I’m really going through because of the level of His protection.
So when you think that your circumstances are pretty bad, just think that what you’re going through right now could have been much worse and you have no idea how much the Lord has protected you. You may face set backs and delays, but God knows exactly what He’s doing. Do not be discouraged. You will have the victory when you have the Lord by your side, Amen! I have posted a song here to encourage you by Lecrae featuring Mali called Tell the World. I just love Lecrae! lol 😀 I pray that this song blesses your spirit today.
John 14:1-6 (NKJV)
The Way, the Truth, and the Life
14 “Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. 2 In My Father’s house are many mansions;[a] if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.[b] 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also. 4 And where I go you know, and the way you know.”
5 Thomas said to Him, “Lord, we do not know where You are going, and how can we know the way?”
6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.
