I just had to post this song by Deitrick Haddon called Have Your Way. Now, I am aware that this particular worshiper has had a lot of scandelous issues in his life and many are quick to point fingers regarding his infidelity etc etc with his marriage and so on, but the thing is, He’s not the only one that has been through the fire facing lust, temptation, straying from the path etc etc. In fact, we as Christians are quick to point the finger at someone’s faults and failures so easliy, especially when they’re in ministry. I find it interesting that the ones who often judge those in ministry are typically the fence and pew-sitters who aren’t even in ministry whatsoever and feel like they are much more holier-than-thou with their attitude to those that actually do serve.
It says in God’s Word:
[ Do Not Judge ] “Judge not, that you be not judged. For with what judgment you judge, you will be judged; and with the measure you use, it will be measured back to you. And why do you look at the speck in your brother’s eye, but do not consider the plank in your own eye? …
This is why it is important to remain humble and not be so quick to judge your fellow brother or sister when you haven’t considered that you might just have a plank in your own eye. Treat people with compassion, and no, I’m not necessarily conding bad behaviour, what I’m addressing here is the fact that some people treat those who stray from the path rather badly in that their attitude doesn’t show nor display compassion but rather condemnation and rejection. We cannot win souls with a condemnation type attitude. We must be able to display compassion and grace in order to win souls for Christ. Show love in the way Jesus would and you’ll see the Lord turn people’s lives around. Evangelism cannot be done by mere might or power, but it is done by His Spirit (The Holy Spirit more specifically), Amen! Reach people by loving people rather than condeming them, Amen. Jesus’ Love is what the world needs to know and you can demonstrate that through your actions, Amen! May this song bless your spirit today in Jesus Name. God bless you everybody! 😀
