Enlargement Starts with You: Learning to Hear Clearly from God —

In order to enlarge your territory, you must increase in knowledge of the Word, increase in wisdom and humility. If you can’t do these three simple things, you will not be able to grow. In order to grow, you need to first learn how to hear from God and not only just hear from him, […]

What a great reminder, God will enlarge our capacity.

The more we give ourselves to God, God will enlarge our capacity to grow in grace and know him!
I am reminded of these scriptures:

Psalm 119:32 New Living Translation (NLT)
32 I will pursue your commands,
    for you expand my understanding.

Psalm 119:32 King James Version (KJV)
32 I will run the way of thy commandments, when thou shalt enlarge my heart.

Psalm 119:32 GOD’S WORD Translation (GW)
32 I will eagerly pursue your commandments
because you continue to increase my understanding.

Psalm 119:32 Complete Jewish Bible (CJB)
32 I will run the way of your mitzvot,
for you have broadened my understanding.
    Complete Jewish Bible (CJB)

    God enlarged Solomon:
1 Kings 4:29-33 King James Version (KJV)
29 And God gave Solomon wisdom and understanding exceeding much, and largeness of heart, even as the sand that is on the sea shore.
30 And Solomon’s wisdom excelled the wisdom of all the children of the east country, and all the wisdom of Egypt.
31 For he was wiser than all men; than Ethan the Ezrahite, and Heman, and Chalcol, and Darda, the sons of Mahol: and his fame was in all nations round about.
32 And he spake three thousand proverbs: and his songs were a thousand and five.

Every time I see the word enlarge, large or capacity, I am reminded of the great race horse Secretariat. A supernatural horse created by a supernatural God. No one could understand why he ran the way he did, he would finish his races many lenghts ahead of the other horses. It was because he had a large heart and good lung capacity. The normal size of a horse’s heart is about 9lbs. Secretariat’s heart was between 18-22lbs. Secretariat is the greatest thoroughbred racing horse of all time. A spiritual war horse as it were. He could take in more air. (spirit) 4151

    Spirit.
4151. pneuma pnyoo’-mah from 4154; a current of air, i.e. breath (blast) or a breeze; by analogy or figuratively, a spirit, i.e. (human) the rational soul, (by implication) vital principle, mental disposition, etc., or (superhuman) an angel, demon, or (divine) God, Christ’s spirit, the Holy Spirit:–ghost, life, spirit(-ual, -ually), mind. Compare 5590.

This was my prayer I wanted to share with you regarding Enlargement. I asked God for this 11/07/13:

    Psalm 119:32
I will run the way of thy commandments, when thou shalt enlarge my heart.
Psalm 119:32 (CJB) I will run the way of your mitzvot, for you have broadened my understanding.
Story of Secretariat. Large heart capacity to endure and run the race ahead of the other horses by many lengths. Large heart was given to him by X chromosome from female-mother Dam. A supernatural gift given to a horse by a supernatural God- my research.
When God enlarges a person’s heart, their understanding will be broadened. There will be an increase in wisdom and understanding. I am convinced that many cannot understand certain truths because of the condition of the heart. Lack of understanding can be a heart issue.

Many simply do not have the capacity for certain truths. They simply cannot understand because there is not enough room in their heart. Capacity is the ability of someone or something to hold something. Quote by Pastor John Eckhardt.
From the article Largeness of Heart.

    1 Kings 4:29
    King James Version (KJV)
29 And God gave Solomon wisdom and understanding exceeding much, and largeness of heart, even as the sand that is on the sea shore.

Note to self: Hazel, I am at the end of my understanding, I need to the capacity to understand enlarged by God. Lord please enlarge my heart, broaden my understanding and grant me wisdom in Jesus’ Name, Amen. What ever is in my heart that is not of you, please remove it.
This is why it is crucial to walk with the Holy Spirit, he will illuminate your heart, He can enlarge your heart if you ask him for it. We need not lack understanding. We need not lack wisdom. All we have to do is ask. All of our answers are in Him. We can ask God for understanding and he will give it, but it will only come to us in the capacity that we can receive it, if our heart capacity is small that is what we will get, We must ask God to enlarge our heart to receive more understanding and wisdom to run this race. If our heart is closed He can’t do anything. Amen.

    • Hi Sis. Hazel,
Sorry for my delay in replying. I just want you to know I do read every comment and I try my hardest to reply to every person on my blog. You know the one thing that struck me about what you said is that “I am and the end of my understanding”. That’s a very humbling statement. Sometimes, as Christians, no matter how long or how much we know of the Word, we can never truly understand all of it. This makes us fully aware of how much we need to depend on God more for understanding and helps us recognize that that is what Faith is. That’s why I agree with you when you said “We can ask God for understanding and he will give it, but it will only come to us in the capacity that we can receive it, if our heart capacity is small that is what we will get, We must ask God to enlarge our heart to receive more understanding and wisdom to run this race.” My prayer is to always remain humble enough to recognize my limits and cling to my unlimited God who helps me overcome my limits since He is the one that supplies all our needs according to His riches and glory in Heaven forever. We need to rely on our source of Revelation through Christ our Savior and Lord. We can only broaden our understanding when we broaden our faith in Jesus, since He is the great supplier.
