Who is your #1?

Hi Everybody!

1 Chronicles 16:8 NKJV – Oh, give thanks to the Lord! Call upon His name; Make known His deeds among the peoples!

Well, I just want to give y’all an update and testimony before I continue the message of my post. I finished my 21 days of prayer and fasting at my Church Living Proof Centre for the month of November and let me tell you, God is AWESOME! I was expecting a cheque from a govt agency for a large amount of money (approx 10K) that they said they’d give it to me in 3 months (so basically I had to wait until December or possibly January 2016 to received it) and I was kind of in a situation where I needed to pay off some bills and some other things as soon as possible and didn’t accept their 3 month wait. So I decided to pray for divine acceleration to receive that cheque much sooner than their 3 month stipulation and guess what, I DID!

On day 3 of the fast I received that cheque! Hallelujah!

What should have taken three months for me to receive, I received in 3 days through prayer and fasting. Our God is an Awesome GOD!

The moment I received that cheque a sowed back $1000 to the church because the Lord impressed upon my heart to do so and I must say…I won’t lie, I kinda didn’t want to at first because I’d never seen $10K in my life like that and I seriously just wanted to save what I had left after paying some of my crazy bills into my mutual fund account etc etc. However, I was soo moved by God’s love and faithfulness that I was like…you know what Holy Spirit, I’m going to sownot simply because you told me to, but because I want to be faithful and want to sow back because I love God and I simply want to put Him first in my life in all areas of my life.

I remember sharing this testimony at church as I was leading a teaching during my turn to do exhortation (I’m a minister in the church by the way) called “The One Who supplies seed to the Sower”.

2 Corinthians 9:10-11 (NKJV)

10 Now may[a] He who supplies seed to the sower, and bread for food, supply and multiply the seed you have sown and increase the fruits of your righteousness, 11 while you are enriched in everything for all liberality, which causes thanksgiving through us to God.

PrioritiesA woman sitting in the church hearing the message decided to sow the very last money she had into the church that was meant for a return ticket for her to go back home during our 21 days of prayer and fasting at the church. She was also waiting for the Govt to give her back a huge amount of money they owed her and had been told that she’d have to wait until next year FEBRUARY 2016 to receive her cheque. She didn’t have all the time or luxury to wait and yet she decided to sow and send her seed on assignment for divine acceleration.

Let me make it clear, her seed wasn’t simply for the church…the church is simply soil and the ground this church rests on is called FAITH. She sowed by faith and let me tell you, on day 20 of the 21 days of prayer and fasting that we were holding at the church she received her money from the Govt back in full and was able to not only buy her ticket home, but do much much more for her family and her business back home. She remembered the principle I had shared about sowing and sowed back to God for His Faithfulness. She received multiple breakthroughs even after that and received connections from very influential business and govt officials to help her shift her business and family. It wasn’t what she expected but God kept increasing her blessing that she was just overwhelmed by the Goodness of God. Isn’t Our God AMAZING!!!!!!!

There are so many testimonies coming out from those that participated in our Church’s 21 days of Prayer and Fasting that I’m looking forward to the next one that we will be holding for the beginning of January 2016.

Listen…many people get the principle of sowing wrong. I remember saying in my teaching that the seed God gives you is useless if all you do is keep it in your hand. The true power of your seed is when it’s sown…but you have to determine which soil you want to sow your seed. You must sow in Faith in order to reap a harvest of righteousness.

Now he who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will also supply and increase your store of seed and will enlarge the harvest of your righteousness.

first-bulletin-graphicAnyway, that’s my testimony and I praise God for all that He has done. The point of my post is about putting God first. When you fast and pray, you put God first. When God asks you to do something in obedience…do it. Don’t ask questions, just simply do it.

But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.

After the fast, I started to prophesy and things would just simply happen as I said. I would even go to work and start prophesying to some people and things would happen as I had said…I feel like I got much more out of the Fast than ever. An increase in spiritual discernment and the ability to hear clearly from the Holy Spirit. I praise God for His Faithfulness.

There is something about setting aside your pride, your intellect and humbling yourself before God and seeking His face that makes being with Him the most wonderful place to be.

It’s easy to put people and stuff first, but I feel that personally, you have to make that choice to put God first in front of every person. You have to be conscious of it and make Him first. Not even your family can be first…it has to be You and God.

Ask yourself, Who is your Number 1?

If God isn’t your #1…then you are living a life of mediocrity. I can’t put that in kinder words because it’s true. You maybe offended, but that is the reality of it my friends.

As my Pastor would often say, “A life without Christ is crisis”. Are you facing a Crisis right now? Then set your priorities in order and make God first again. Go back to your first love (Which I hope is Christ by the way). Make Him your number one and don’t be simply seeking to hear God’s voice, but learn to be doers of what you hear. God gives instructions all the time, and it takes faith to obey. My challenge to you is to sit down in your prayer closet and repent of the things you’ve put first before God and ask God to shift your life to make Him the center of EVERY AREA OF YOUR LIFE. I guarantee, that your life will change when you shift your focus back to God.

The choice all remains with you.

Here is a song by Lauren Daigle called First. May this song bless your Spirit today! 😀 GOD bless you everybody!
