Inspiration Weekend: Sitting with Me

Hi Everybody!

I love praise and worship and I have a song here for you today from Mary Mary called Sitting with Me. Sometimes our walk seems lonely when people don’t understand your convictions to believe in Jesus Christ and the message of the Gospel. Some may classify you as a  “Jesus Freak” or a “Radical for Christ” type person. I think personally it’s better to be labelled that than being labelled an unbeliever, unfaithful, a sinner etc etc…

As Christians, we ought to be distinct and it is no easy task to walk steadfast because each day is a daily battle with our faith, however, having said that, it’s also up to us to remain faithful and to also allow the Lord to continually aide us to transform our old selves into new creations in Christ. When we repent and confess with our mouths our faults, failures and sins before God, we essentially allow him to keep taking off the dead skin that we are shedding in order to become a new creation.

Being a new creation is a life long and ongoing transformation. It doesn’t happen overnight, however, it does begin by a decision to choose to allow your old self to die so that God can resurrect the new you. As Children of the Resurrection, we must continuously allow on a daily basis to practice daily repentance and seek God’s hand to mold us into what He wants us to be– which is to be transformed with a renewed mind into His image and likeness.

Luke 20:36
nor can they die anymore, for they are equal to the angels and are sons of God, being sons of the resurrection.

Romans 12:2
And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

May this song bless you today and have  blessed weekend everybody!

    • Amen Sisterdot!

Thank you for visiting and your encouraging comment. God remains constant and unchanging in our lives even when others change on us. He is the alpha and omega of our daily lives and we can put our trust on His unchanging and enduring love that will last forever. Things in the world can pass away, but God’s love will remain the same.

      Stay Blessed sis.
