What do you want to teach a Child?

Hi Everybody!

Today I saw a poem that I found to be wonderful to share. Children are a precious gift to us (for those that are parents) and to God we are all Children in His eyes. What we teach children affects a child’s growth and in the same way, God teaches us Love so that we can feel acceptance. If we feel that level of acceptance from the Father’s love then we should put that same teaching into our own children. Children need to know that they are loved, so teach them that they are Loved just like how we now know that we are Loved by the Father through Jesus Christ, His Son.

May this poem Bless you today Everybody!

A Child Learns

If a child lives with criticism,
he learns to condemn.
If a child lives with hostility,
he learns to fight.
If a child lives with ridicule,
he learns to be shy.
If a child lives with shame,
he learns to feel guilty.
If a child lives with tolerance,
he learns to be patient.
If a child lives with encouragement,
he learns confidence.
If a child lives with praise,
he learns to appreciate.
If a child lives with fairness,
he learns justice.
If a child lives with security,
he learns to have faith.
If a child lives with approval,
he learns to like himself.
If a child lives with acceptance, and friendship,
he learns to find love in the world.

  1. Very, very appropriate poem on teaching children this Earth Day–for the future of the Earth belongs to these previous children. Very appropriate also for Child Abuse Awareness Month!
