God Has Not Forgot – He Will do what He Promises

So we are at the timing of New Years Eve of Year 2012. No matter what happened this year in 2011, be it unfulfilled dreams, aspirations or what have you, remember that everyday is a spiritual battle to fulfill your God-given destiny that is aligned with your God-given dreams.

I have looked back on this year with appreciation in that I encountered some major disappointments but they did not outweigh what God has done to change me to look beyond what I see and seek His face. When the going gets tough you have to remember that although you have Faith that you have sown in Tears, God will ensure that you will Reap in JOY.

Joy is your Portion because you are a Son/Daughter of the Most High God, Jesus Christ. I believe that when I went through my desert seasons, everything seemed dry and desolate, but through my walk, when the rain touches the Ground, those hidden seeds that were underneath the ground are going to germinate and spring forth with a harvest that I have yet to reap. I believe in this Harvest that God has for me and I also believe that such a promise is not for me alone, but for all those that have suffered a season of desolation.

God is with you in every season. The earth has four seasons; Winter, Spring, Autumn, and Summer. You will also have your seasons in the Year 2012 but remember that through it all, God is with you every step of the way. I want to encourage all those that are going through rough patches, sad patches, abandonment, rejection, mourning seasons, seasons where all hell seems to be breaking loose, Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus. The race is not for the swift nor the  strong, it is for the steadfast and the wise who Keep their focus on the One that can take you through the storms. Jesus will calm your storms because storms can’t last forever. You will experience the Peace that you seek as long as you keep your Hand in the palm of the Almighty. He will bring you to your breakthrough and I am believing this for myself and for all in the year of 2012.

Scriptures to Meditate on:

Daniel 2:21
And He changes the times and the seasons; He removes kings and raises up kings; He gives wisdom to the wise And knowledge to those who have understanding.

Isaiah 55:11
So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, But it shall accomplish what I please, And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.

Deuteronomy 1:11
May the LORD God of your fathers make you a thousand times more numerous than you are, and bless you as He has promised you!

Deuteronomy 12:20

Deuteronomy 15:6
For the LORD your God will bless you just as He promised you; you shall lend to many nations, but you shall not borrow; you shall reign over many nations, but they shall not reign over you.

Joshua 23:10
One man of you shall chase a thousand, for the LORD your God is He who fights for you, as He promised you.

Acts 2:33
Therefore being exalted to the right hand of God, and having received from the Father the promise of the Holy Spirit, He poured out this which you now see and hear.

Deuteronomy 28:3
Blessed shall you be in the city, and blessed shall you be in the country.

Deuteronomy 28:6
Blessed shall you be when you come in, and blessed shall you be when you go out.

Psalm 33:12
Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD, The people He has chosen as His own inheritance.

Psalm 37:22
For those blessed by Him shall inherit the earth, But those cursed by Him shall be cut off.

Psalm 37:26
He is ever merciful, and lends; And his descendants are blessed.

Psalm 144:1
[ A Psalm of David. ] Blessed be the LORD my Rock, Who trains my hands for war, And my fingers for battle

Psalm 30:5
For His anger is but for a moment, His favor is for life; Weeping may endure for a night, But joy comes in the morning.

Psalm 126:5
Those who sow in tears Shall reap in joy.

The song that comes to mind in reflection of all this is by Dorinda Clarke Cole called Everything He Promised. This song has ministered to me so many times and I want to share it with you. I love worship and I can’t help but bless this post with yet another song to uplift your heart. God is with You ALWAYS — Remember that when you listen to this song. Be Blessed and encouraged as you head into the New Year of 2012.

  1. A very faithful post, & a lovely page. I’ve been cruising, seeing what people write about the end of a year, beginning of a new one. You’ve put some really choice Bible quotes in there.

It’s just so, so difficult to accept though that everything happens in God’s perfect time. I mean, my Mum suicided on the weekend of my 6th birthday. Why was that such a perfect time? Couldn’t she wait until my 30th birthday, when I could handle it? You know, hard to accept. But you just have to have faith it is so.

    Happy new year 🙂

    • My Heart goes out to you for losing your mother at such a young age in such a tragic way. My friend in her forties lost her mother before Christmas this year and is finding it difficult to accept. I guess the perfect timing of God isn’t something that we can understand while we’re in the storm because we have a lot of “Why?” questions, but as you said, we just have to Faith it out and pray that God takes us through it, helps us to keep our sanity and hopefully we don’t end up hating God after the fact. It is during those grieving moments that God embraces us the most when we can’t see Him through our floods of Tears. Thank you for sharing your testimony.

May God Bless you and have a Prosperous New Year 😀

  2. “Sowing with tears and reaping with joy”–one of my all-time favorites. I always related to this so well as a farmchild growing up in Mississippi! The last photo on this blog really expresses this so exuberantly! Bless you and thank you many thousand times over, dear nightshade!

  4. Hi Sherline, I love this post. God has not forgotten us, he will keep His promises. This is so reassuring and gives me the security of knowing I am never alone. When the world abandons us, we still have an advocate in Christ. I love criminology and suspense, so it will be interesting to see and share your heart of writing and ministering for Christ!
I love to minister through song, and I must say great song by Dorinda Clarke Cole. It is my first time hearing this song or of her. I will like to add you to my blogroll for others to journey through and share your walk with Jesus.

Be blessed and be who God says you are. Never judge a book by its cover, but by the character and contents of it! Blessings to you my friend and sister in Christ!

    • Hi Shenine! (almost the same name there lol)

Thanks for stopping by! I’m always happy to see people being encouraged about their relationship with Christ. I love ministering in worship since I too am a member in my Church choir. Worship uplifts my soul. Thank you for your kind blessings and I love how you said ” Never judge a book by its cover, but by the character and contents of it!”. Worth Tweeting.

Stay blessed in all that you do and thanks for joining my journey. I’ll be sure to join yours as well 😀
